more hated now than before demotion

Two reasons;

Firstly as others have said, most of these no mark teams simply cannot handle the fact that we still exist. Get used to it we are going nowhere.

Secondly, the hatred has always been there but is now allowed to exist through a general climate that is increasingly aggressively Republican, anti-Union and hence anti-Rangers. The fact that our current Government harbours many people who hold those views allows it to filter into our public services and continue unchecked.

Bollocks! We are going back to the top.

Up till the 90s there was either just a simple dislike of us from other teams fans because they were envious of us, or hatred of us because they were catholic minded, there were even some fans who disliked both of the Old Firm equally.

But back then many of the other teams fans would have a liking toward one half of the Old Firm (the majority favouring us I would suggest), similar to us favouring Hearts and Dundee.

However, since the 90s there has been an orchestrated campaign to demonise us by the media, football authorities, even politicians and political parties which focused on us and encouraged more hatred,  especially by the chairmen and fans of other teams (including Hearts and Dundee), which was then rapidly aided within the SFA. When we were demoted and villianised we there then an easy target for every Tom, Dick and Declan. the hatred grew rapidly.

It has now become a badge of honour with  fans of teams like cellic, aberdeen, dundee united and hibsto hate us. In fact it now defines those club's existence in as much as they hate us more than they like themselves.

So yes I believe the campaign against us worked, we are now more hated than before demotion, more hated than at any other time in our history.

But we know who our haters are now, and we will keep vigilant, and we will fight back on the park, our fans will confront this hatred too, (and hopefully our board will continue to fight back off the park) and we will be stronger because of this.

And even if naebody likes us we don't need to care, we are still the most succesful and most supported team in Scotland, and most successful in the world. :21::21::21:

Brilliant words mate ??????

We can't sing, "non-one likes us, we don't care" and then moan when no c-nt likes us

I like us :), F the rest.

Pretty shite analogy TBH.  Someone doesn't like me, I really do not care.  Someone tries unsuccessfully to kill me I do care and they had better watch their back.

Aye ok. It's all about views and your is about killing, mine is about the thread subject matter.

Suppose it's how you read it or want to read it TBH.

I don't mind been hated, in fact it doesn't bother me in the slightest because they are the ones obsessing about us when we really don't give a fuck about them. The thing that really fucks me off is that they will happily take their share of the increased TV revenue. Why is the TV revenue increased? It's because they couldn't keep the mighty Glasgow Rangers down and now we are back where we belong.

We are hated even more now.

Deep down everyone in Scottish football wants to be us and are angry with themselves over it.

Most of their supporters have been self harming whilst wanking off to videos of staffies shagging over the last few seasons.

It's a pity-full existence borne of jealousy, blind hatred and a lack of social skills.

Speaking with other Rangers men and we were talking about cutting out the debatably offensive lyrics/songs and how the authorities won't give a definitive list etc etc (few seasons back).

During this conversation my pals dad says "Doesn't matter what we change they'll still hate us!".

This is a statement I think we can all wholeheartedly agree with, the excuse used to be that we didn't sign Catholics, or that everything about us was a Masonic conspiracy or that we started the whole religious thing or that ourselves and the authorities were part of an 'establishment', when these things are removed/shown-to-be-delusional going forward the hatred remains or even intensifies.

Personally I think we all as adults should drop the "offensive" lyrics and words from use on matchday in the grounds at least, because ultimately it's the beyond-nationwide excuse to justify the hatred and targeting we receive. Remove the excuse and when they continue to hate and target us they are exposed for what they are, bigots playing the offended-card to score points or to see us punished, or, using it to justify their hatred/targeting of our club and it's fans.

I accept some of our fans do mean what they say in a bigoted hatred of other peoples/clubs etc BUT I've never heard of a club that doesn't have people like that within it's fans and in many instances those clubs wider fan-base is at best indifferent on their own.

We drop what's deemed to be by some as illegally-offensive/sectarian entirely and what will the excuse be? I'd like to hear it because I like everyone else knows their excuse will change but their hatred of us will not.

Good post mate, I tend to think along the same lines, before I left Scotland back in '95 for Canada I never really hated any other clubs supporters except for the "one" set of coarse and even then it was the club rather than their fans I hated(I had a good few mates who were tims), and I honestly never felt like I or the club were truly hated by others, disliked and envied certainly, and I understood were they came from, but at least I could have a civil conversation with most of them, even c****c supporters.

Since I immigrated I've watched from afar at the disintegration of the behaviour towards our club culminating to where we now find ourselves, for long enough being so far away from it all, I at first didn't believe it could possibly be as bad as the reports we were getting from fan forums etc. I thought that out fans were exaggerating, but by listening to my brother, brother in law and friends back home it became apparent that what I was hearing was true, the dislike has morphed into pure bile.

Somehow we need to get some friends back that we lost in the game, so how do we go about that? it's no use saying we don't need anyone else to help us, I say yes we do, being the lone wolf howling at the moon isn't going to get us anywhere and if we are not careful we'll find ourselves even more isolated , it's understandable while the wounds are still raw our fans saying "fuck them all" but at the end of the day, we're going to need support from within the game to rid us of the cabal running it at this moment in time, it's going to be a long hard struggle but if we wish to isolate ourselves then we will never get to play on a level playing field.

While I would hate to give up on the so called "offensive songs" ,I've belted them out myself for more than 55yrs now ( I started around 5yrs old lol)it would be a clever thing to do as you say, it's not about what Scotland thinks but it goes globally now and we need support wherever we can get it, like you said not singing these songs won't stop the hating but it would allow the club to support the fans in a way that they have been unable to do in the past as they could not be seen to condone them, and they could then go on the attack without having the sectarian brush tarred upon the club, I can but dream but I don't believe it will ever happen anytime soon.

They're just raging because we didn't die and now we are coming back stronger than ever.

That sums it up perfectly. They were absolutely desperate for us to die, it never happened and the hate that followed was just unimaginable. Shockingly unimaginable. We better get ready for next season. We'll have every decision go against us and every ugly scene that follows a victory blamed on us. It's worse than ever before.

My use of killing was a metaphor for these bastards trying unsuccessfully to kill our club.

The one's that really fucks me off are the jambos. Always liked them. Loads of jambo mates when I was a kid. Good band boys. Prestonpans was always a great day out. Now. It seems they fucking hate us. Don't like having an enemy of other proddies. We have enough on our hands as is.

if games against motherwelland hibs these past 2 seasons are anything to go by these provincial clubs appear to hate us more now than ever. what I dont understand is that we were the club fucked over yet you would think we had done them over. any rational for this and can we expect more of the same next season at pittodrie etc?

They all believe the LIE perpetrated by the tims, that we cheated by using EBT's to pay our players. I hear the same lie from them all, whether they be tims, sheep, or Dundee hibs fans, they all say the same shite.

I no longer socialise with certain people, because they come out with the same boring shite all the time.

The best place to drink is the LAHRSC, as you know that you're in good company there.

doesn't bother me what any of these clubs think of us. they hate us because we are still exist and because they know they will never be as good as us. fs look at celtic...counting all their titles since we were put down the leagues just so they can make up the numbers. well we're going for 55.

the only time their hatred gets to me is when our fellow fans are hurt or now our players! i can take opposition fans shouting or making gestures from the stands or, in the case of Hibs, from the pitch. but when they start fighting with our fans and trying to punch and kick or players then that's when it pisses me off.

let them keep hating us and we'll keep singing "no one likes us. we don't care."

There will be blood spilled next season. Guaranteed.

I agree , we quite rightly have a seige mentality at the moment, there is a real possibility of serious disorder at certain games next season, if the useless authorities in this shitehole country don't do their jobs then we quite rightly will protect ourselves and our own,  fuck all the other clubs in this country, they've been prodding at a sleeping bear for the last few bears and he's about to wake up angry and start clawing back, I enjoy being hated by them because the fucking feeling is more than mutual

I would say the hatred is 100% grown . The fact that there are people like Lawwell , Petrie , Thompson( until recently) in high profile positions within our game doesn't help . And although politics shouldnt really have any place in football , I would say the SNP , referendum , Sturgeon shenanigans have played a part too

Most definitely. People with SNP avi's on Twitter always slating Rangers

Stewart said he wants the club to be treated like everyone else, that will never happen. Rangers fans sing"...no one likes us and we don't care..."

If the last few days have shown anything it's that this song couldn't be more true and we didn't realise quite how deep rooted this hatred of us really is.

They hate us because we are better than them. Our history declares our success, our full stadium declares loyalty of support and our fan out sing them; this is why they hate us. Oh, and a small thing about being mostly pro-union.

Sadly for Hibs their sunshine supporters will enjoy the moment with a feeling of job done, and go back to their couches .

Hibs had more fans on the pitch at Hampden than they will have at Easter Road for many matches next season.   That is the measure of their support.
