Popular Post LeeWallaceRFC 3,920
Quote RANGERS’ are on course to set a new record for total season-ticket sales after a ‘fantastic’ response by fans resulted in a new high for renewals. When the deadline for those wishing to renew their season tickets closed at midnight on Friday over 33,000 had renewed. The Friday evening total alone surpassed all recorded renewal figures as the Club’s supporters line up behind the management team and Board in phenomenal numbers. There is now the strongest possibility of hitting a new high when tickets go on general sale following the closing of the renewal window. The 43,170 season tickets sold for season 2006-07 is the highest on record and the Club believes that this figure could be surpassed after conclusion of the general sale, which will begin just as soon as those fans on the season-ticket waiting list have been accommodated. Rangers Chairman, Dave King, was quick to praise the unflinching loyalty of supporters. “The renewal number is fantastic,” he said, “and again we can see this Club’s fans demonstrating their commitment and belief in what everyone is trying to achieve. “On behalf of the Board, management, players and staff at Rangers I would like to thank them for everything they have done and continue to do. “Other clubs throughout the country struggle to sell their tickets and some grounds are less than half full but time and again Rangers fans rise to the challenge and Ibrox regularly has the biggest crowd in the UK on match days. “This support and loyalty will never be taken for granted by anyone at Ibrox. I believe exciting times lie ahead and together we can make this great Club, which belongs to all of us, thrive and succeed once again.” http://rangers.co.uk/news/headlines/dave-king-thanks-fans/ MayboleLoyal_atb, OhW, Jonok and 2 others

Broxi 11,473
Thinking about buying a ST next season, but I'm a student and barely scraped through money wise this year. How much would a ST cost for somewhere like the club deck? Rangers don't do student discounts do they? I know someone who is a Celtic ST holder and he just renewed his for like £170 for a student ticket RFCRobertson

Popular Post The_Blue_Flash 390
I posted this quote when we got put down to the third division and people were giving up season tickets, then all the boycotts and nonsense. I am happy we are selling so many tickets but I am particularly happy that all the people who vanished when we got demoted and gave up their season tickets allowed many people who couldn't get season tickets to get some and we can all be there as we step back where we belong. Everyone who stuck with the club during our darkest days I will always remember and be very proud of those people, they can say what they want, Gers fans caused no trouble and many smaller clubs were happy to see us. But not the ones racing back now we have won a few trophies and back in the SPL. The amount of games we sat with hardly anyone in our whole section over the years and now everyone is so desperate to be back. The club deserves a big support but as I said hats off to everyone who was there when noone else was. bluegecko, seb1972, trueblue68 and 12 others
Popular Post Copland bear 7,966
Sell the broomloan also if we can and give the mhanky mob under the screens like any other away support. Put bears first the ones that watched Stirling Albion, Alloa etc to keep the club alive, not supporters who wanted us dead from boardroom to supporter. super hans, Reformation Bear, The_Blue_Flash and 5 others

Fuck How does that work though? 19 league home games in a season at around £20 a ticket that comes to £380. Even if tickets cost £25 and cup games are included (half of them at home say) doesn't seem like that good a saving? Am I missing something? Rangers are worth every penny of £450 they ask. Only joking my friend was a student once myself and never out the student Uni in the mid 90's, pisses most nights ?. The club do a quarterly payment thou and you have to pay set dates and it works out about a tenner no more than £20 extra to do it that way. That way you could pay £100 on 4 separate occasions and when your parents ask you what for your birthday? Just say £100 for my season ticket?. Say an average of £22 for the other 13 games = £286 Total - £478 Home cup matches are not free. Doesn't seem a huge difference in value between a season ticket and just buying individual tickets. Can't afford a full season ticket and if I start working on the weekends I won't be able to make it to half the games anyway. I'll just stick with buying select match day tickets

The advantage of an ST is that you'll get to see the sellic games, you won't if you don't buy an ST, and you'll get first refusal on cup tickets. jintybear 8,536
In BR it's £295 without celtic games but you need a wean (£50 for the wean). If you add the tim games then it's an extra £80 on adult ticket only. There are prices for concessions but I don't know if students are counted as concessions

Totally agree with the "I ain't watching Rangers in the lower leagues but will come back when the good times return" punter. That's a fan and I can understand that. Those of us that stayed around, took the hostility, the insults, the pain.... can look in the mirror and know we didn't desert in the time of need. Yes, it was hard at times , the ridicule , some of the results, but we never walked away. I welcome those that return. They can help push us on but they should remember those that stayed in the trenches to get us to this day. hammer time, seb1972, AGC123 and 9 others
