Why? I can't see any negative at all in naming it after Struth for example.

Because we will have more legends throughout history, say for example, we were to name Copland "The John Greig Stand" and Broomloan "The Ally McCoist Stand", then a decade later we won two champions leagues in a row. These champions league winners would be bigger legends yet we wouldn't be able to commemorate them in the same way we will have others who have achieved less.

For me, there is no one who stands out more than Bill Struth. A full sized Statue should be placed in front of the doors of the Academy but it should not be renamed after anyone. 

Auchenhowie is just fine IMO
