He's blue he's white 717
signed for Tranent Juniors, find this quite sad - why would he want too? Surely made enough cash to enjoy retirement? Just one tackle away surely of a life long injury. on a side note loved him at Rangers!
StornowayBlue 630
The article I read explained it was likely the coaching element that attracted him despite offers from SPFL Clubs. Perhaps that's why.

K.A.I 36,183
Is it not his local junior team too? probably just helping them out - happens a lot with pro's at the end of their careers.
bluewhitevanman 1,619
Brilliant to get that knowledge into the juniors. Loved him when he was with us as well.

Always thought that he was a little reckless though.
WeirFleckNRothen 1,789
I'm sure there's more to it, such as coaching opportunities and personal ties, but it's still sad. I thought he complemented our more aesthetically pleasing players such as Ferguson, Davis and Mendes very well. He carried out a simple job, but he did it well. I was gutted when we sold him, sorry, Lloyd's Bank sold him to Middlesborough. His goal against Celtic was outstanding, the one-two with Darcheville, the run, the finish, Boruc had no chance. It sickens me that Scott Brown, his best mate, will go down in history as having cost twice as much, lead them to however many titles and won a large amount of Scotland caps whilst injuries have ravaged Thomson's career. montana100 335
I was at Killmarnock when he got injured, think that might have been his second bad injury, old memory not as functional as it used to he . Thought he was great player for us.
King Jela 20,350
Quite surprised by this. I remember watching his 3rd debut for Hibs against Hearts in the cup last season and he didn't look out of place at all, in fact he made a big difference when he came on, which was impressive considering he was just back from injury. I loved him when he was with us. Was gutted when we let him go.
Young Bob 1,360
Great player and good to see him still being involved. A real pity about his injuries otherwise he would be held in the same esteem as Ian Ferguson had he stayed with us.

Half price, twice the player. Scott Brown's been very lucky throughout his career.
John Greig's Sideburns 177
Was great for us, still remember his injury against Hamilton I'm sure
Vanoli 4,625
Thomson Mendes Davis all in our midfield was absolutely outstanding before his injuries
ranter 136
Some players just like to keep on playing. Going to local juniors puts something back into the community. I remember Scott Nisbet went to play for Arniston Rangers and did well. That was after being told by specialists he couldn't play again. All the best Kevin sure you'll always give 100%. Smile 26,600
I thought we were signing him for a moment there but then i noticed he's only 31 in a few years we may go for him.
Dutchy 1,200
I always thought he was a Musselburgh lad, but if he was going to go to a small club he would have been better by going to Preston Athletic. They're in the Lowland league and have an opportunity to move up the tables, but for the fact they're shite, so they could've done with someone of his experience.
