Ace 3,556
SUPPORTERS should note the imminent suspension of Subway services in the city, with Strathclyde Partnership for Transport set to continue its modernisation programme. A replacement bus service will be in operation for duration of the month long suspension, which will impact Rangers home fixtures with Annan Athletic (19th), Stranraer (25th) and Burnley (30th). Clemdog 39,389
Here is the post from SPT. Quote Football fans travelling to and from Ibrox during the Glasgow Subway suspension will be able to catch specific buses from the City Centre direct to the stadium on match days in July. Three matches are planned during the suspension period: 19 July – Rangers FC vs Annan Athletic 19:45 kick-off 25 July – Rangers vs Stranraer 19:45 kick-off 30 July – Rangers vs Burnley 15:00 kick-off McGills will run extra buses commencing 90-minutes before each match, and for 90-minutes after each match. These will run non-stop along Paisley Rd West from Buchanan Street and St Enoch to Ibrox (and vice versa after the match), on a 10-minute frequency. These will be numbered 92X (to Ibrox) and 91X (to city). There will also be an additional shuttle between Partick and Govan on these days, again running 90-minutes before and after the match, numbered 91P (Partick to Govan pre-match), and 92P (Govan to Partick post-match). These services will run every 15-minutes. These services are in addition to the regular replacement bus services, operated by First, running during the suspension. Football fans will be able to use either service to get to and from the match. In the city centre, for the journey to Ibrox, the stop for Buchanan St is at St Vincent St (outer circle stop, between West Nile St & Renfield St), and the stop for St Enoch is at Jamaica St outside Kenny’s Music shop. At Partick, the stop for the journey to Ibrox is on Dumbarton Rd westbound beneath the railway bridge. Fares are £1 single, exact money only. McGills though. Gonna be a right fucking nightmare for a lot of people. I usually get the train from Larkhall to Partick then the subway 2 stops. I'll just walk from Exhibition Centre now as its not far, but I feel for the folk who are heavily dependent on it.
