Waghorn & "Superior Striker"

PRW.

Recommended Posts

Saw that Waghorn is part of this "Superior Striker" programme, run by Allan Russell (yes, ex-Hamilton).

Clients include Saido Berhaino, Andre Gray, Connor Washington, Ashley Fletcher, Wilfried Zaha, Benik Afobe and Aleksander Mitrovic. Guy seems to be very well thought of off of the pitch as most of these guys have a glowing reference up on his website. (http://www.superiorstriker.com/clientstestimonials.html)

Also really good to see Waghorn trying to better himself even further, hope it has the same effect on him as it has had on most of the previous mentioned strikers. He is a very good player but finishing isn't his strongest point and its encouraging he is working hard to improve that.

There was something close season about this. Excellent from Waghorn.

Doesn't matter what field of work, it takes extra effort to be the best. It is refreshing to see our players not running out the door early to the bookies or Nandos as has happened previously. Waghorn is still young and will improve this season, even more so if he shows this sort of professionalism.

With his current strength, movement, dribbling ability and technique, if he could become a top class finisher as well, he would be a £10m striker. Cherry on the cake if he could also add the odd headed goal.

Warburton must see this as how he could develop, which is maybe why we haven't prioritised adding a CF.

He'll be on my coupon for first goal tomorrow, no doubt the first of many, can't wait to see him put one past the scum in their own midden after a double from Miller and one from Halliday, and we'll all sing Derrys Walls till the second half kicks off :)

Betfred have got an offer on mate.

If player scores twice, they'll double your money and if he scores three times they'll triple it.

This guy was featured on soccer am last year - thought of as a top class specialist striker coach and has analysed drills and training to improve strikers abilities and techniques! Well done to him and wag horn .

Yeah, I can see why Warburton brought him in. As strong as an ox, with very good awareness of what's happening round about him, and good link-up play too - especially in the box. Several times last season, I watched 2-3 defenders trying to push and cajole him at one time, trying to get the ball off him without success, coz he's so strong. Oh, and a cracking left foot shot on him too! Just wish he would score a few more goals with his frigging head though! If he can add this to his game, that will be the cherry on top for me! Brilliant. :)
