Rangers:                               Stranraer:

W/3 L/0 D/0                           W/2 L/0 D/0

Goals For: 7                          Goals For: 5

Goals Against: 0                   Goals Against: 2

(9 Points)                              (6 Points)

and so we've reached the final match of the League cup group stages! We face league 1 team Stranraer. Should hopefully be another clean sheet and training routine for the lads. Simple 2-0 minimum to secure those final 3 points to be at the top of the group! But of course we'll wait and see at a bouncin' Ibrox park on Monday night! If the game against Annan is anything to go by then there will be a healthy 30,000 to cheer the boys in blue!

My Predicted lineup

Wes

(if fit) Tavernier   Kiernan   Hill   Hodson

Kranjcar*        Barton*   Windass

O'halloran    Waghorn     McKay

Subs being

Forrester on for Windass

Dodoo on for Waghorn

Hardie on for McKay

3-0 (McKay, Waghorn, Dodoo)

*Confirmed by the gaffer to be starting

**Last Meeting**

Rangers and Stranraer last met on the 26th of December in the 2013/14 Season at Ibrox. The game would finish a draw, goals being a Penalty for us converted by Lee McCulloch and a 94th minute goal by Jaime Longworth.

My deepest apologies, the website I had used to do comparison told me the last game was the one above. In fact it was not. The last game that we did play against Stranraer was again a Home game and it was played on Saturday the 26th of April, 2014. This day would be an emotional one as it was just two days after Sandy Jardine had sadly past away. And due to this, a Minute silence was held in memory of that great man. After Stranraer FC gave us a guard of honor.

The day would go onto be be won, with a 3 nil sweep for the queens 11.Goals coming from Fraiser Aird in the 36th Minute, The late Arnold Peralta in the 60th minute and finally Dean Shiels in the 66th minute. A great result in honor of Sandy Jardine. God bless him and Arnold Peralta.

Rangers Squad:                                Stranraer Squad:

C. Bell                                                  D. Mitchell

R. Foster                                              S. Robertson (S.Stirling)

S. Smith                                               M. Docherty(L.Kinnaird)

Stanraer with 2 wins in this competition already, could be a hard one on Monday...:P

My team would be:

Wes

Tav Kiernan Wilson Hodson

Holt Barton Niko

Dodoo Waghorn Forrester

Hopefully another few goals again, it would be good if Dodoo could grab another and to see Niko get off the mark ideally.

Warbs basically confirmed Holt, Barton and Niko will start this one. Dodoo will probably start and think current rotation will see Kiernan partner Wilson.

Solid team.
