Warburton not ruling out bringing him back as it seems he may be leaving Spurs.

Is he the answer to our defensive problems? Would we be happy if he was the only CB brought in?

Absolutely, not even up for discussion.

No. Peoples fascination with Ball is bewildering to me. He's no better than Wilson or Kiernen, cost us goals in the same way that those two did, he's not very quick and he didn't seem to have particularly good positional awareness.

Not good enough.

As a DM yes as he was excellent against the scum and sorely missed in the final. Now we are covered for DM's. But as a CB - we can do better.

That's the thing though, can we do better?

Seems we haven't anyone lined up, and haven't been able to get and deals for those we did over the line.

Might be him or nothing.

No.

We need an experienced defender aged about 25 - 30 to come in and be good enough to be the undisputed first choice centre half, which leaves the other spot up for grabs for either Wilson or Kiernan to hopefully raise their game and fulfill the potential the management team obviously think they possess.

Anything less puts the title in doubt.

Dom Ball's form improved dramatically toward the end of the season as he was given regular starts. I would like to sign him permanently and pair him with Wilson.

Surely to goodness Hill and Weir can bring the best out of that partnership.

Agree with this but think it will be very hard to get someone like that in given the budget we'll have. Think Ball is much like the other 3 centre backs i.e. if they were left out the starting 11 no one would be shocked.

It's just desperation if we do because we don't have a clue who to go for because we have pissed about all summer not addressing the biggest hole in our squad.

It's arguable that finding the right CB is the hardest task for any coach. Many great sides throughout the history of the game can be almost identified by the CB partnerships, Rangers included. With our limited funds that task is even harder.
