Goram Gazza laudrup get in but will go with players I have seen. Was a toss up between Miller and Boyd but that spell before he was sold in Jan 2011 Miller was devastating that season top scorer and sold halfway through. Seriously I have an issue with that as he was never in big Marks class It was Barry but Ian would have given a bit of steel to that midfield line up. Jardine was before my time. Albertz whilst not as good as Gio I felt the number of big goals the hammer scored for us he was always a bigger danger to opponents when he had the ball at his feet. Gio was the better player technically but the hammer gets the vote from me. Prso and Hateley just came down to personal preference tbh, no doubting Hateley had the bigger impact on the club and was probably the better player but I just loved Prso's attitude and technical ability. Having to leave out players like Mols as well was pretty tough as before Mols injury he'd probably have been one of our finest strikers. I tried to pick a team thinking about the modern game, not the 80s or 90s. I think athleticism, strength and pace are far more important now than then. I don't see him working as hard or tracking back the way Gio would although i'm sure people will disagree. I'd give Laudrup a free role in that line up. The other two players that were tough to leave out were Albertz and de Boer. Could easily swap Big Jorg for Gio in that line up. De Boer was genuinely world class but we got him a few years too late and he was a bit injury prone. On his day was quality though. Others I struggled with were Ian Ferguson and Durrant. Oddly had no urge to have Barry Ferguson close to the team although he was clearly decent for us. And a mention for Barry Ferguson, many fans have a sort of love/hate with Barry, love the player, dislike the attitude, but on his game he was a great wee player.
