Tavernier

He and Barton were my only 2 pass marks.

His free kick was top drawer.

Barton played well but sold the goal imo ,again (den's park ). If anyone can bear to watch it again they'll see he should have backed off kiltie and held his position but he charged towards him and didn't have the pace to close him down which gave him the time to pick his pass. I'd expect our defence to fuc* it up from there,  but would also expect Barton to avoid schoolboy errors and while I'm at it what about him losing his man again from a corner ?

Tavernier is a fantastic player and criminally underrated by our support.  He's the best full-back in the country going forward.  Scores goals, creates goals, and is a free-kick specialist.  He's also improved defensively this season and has done very well so far.

That goal was worthy of winning any match, at any level. Unfortunately it just got us on terms with Killie and we totally failed to take the initiative, dropping yet another 2 points. 30 minutes (25 +5 injury time) against 10 men and they're the favourites to go down this season. This is far from good enough.

I've had the feeling he's been told to reign his attacking side in a bit this season. Guessing he got told to crack on in the second half or maybe he just decided to take the initiative himself!

Either way, thank god we have him.

Got the same feeling mate with all the flak our defence has been getting since the old firm a think mw has told him to concentrate more on his duties as a rb..but tav wants up there and when he does he adds quality crosses nice wee runs and passes and has a shit hot strike..

Said before anytime he makes a mistake he's hounded for it. Aw drop him, play him on the wing etc

Wallace has been the best part of embarassing the whole season and gets away with it.

Tav has been our best player followed by Forrester.

No likes left mate

Could not agree more with you:541:

Defensively he has made incredible strides and deserves huge credit for that. Many didn't think he had it in him but fair play to him. He's not perfect but he's developing into a very decent full back. His free kicks are ridiculous but his crossing at times are genuinely out of the top drawer.

The biggest thing that pleases me about him, and it primarily seems to apply to just Tav and also Forrester, is their directness. It's almost like he plays the way you played in the school playground. When he gets the ball he just wants to run hard at the full back and either get a shot away or get a cross in. He plays as if the school bell is about to ring or it's next goals the winner. I like that type of mentality and enthusiasm. He's a tough, powerful, athletic, technically gifted player. He really does have all the ingredients to evolve into a top top player. Long may it continue......

Thought I'd focus on the one positive. He was superb tonight - some FK and put in some great crosses.

Yet everyone will still think he's our defensive weak link when he's our best by a mile.

Noone is going to call Tav our weak link when you have Hill and Kiernan in the same team.
