Radio Clyde - Campaign for Decency

It was with incredulity that I listened to the hypocrisy spouted on Radio Clyde last night with their "Campaign for Decency". This is a station that has done nothing but deride everything Rangers over the last few years while indulging every whim of the Celtic support, and like the rest of the Scottish media has conveniently overlooked the pro-terrorism, anti-rangers extremism growing in the Celtic ranks, while attempting to attach a moral equivalence to vandalism in toilets with hung effigies and banners stating “Kill All H***”.

The ideology behind the effigies and banners on show at Celtic Park didn’t just sprung up overnight - this is 4 to 5 years in the making and started with the fans of other clubs demanding their boardroom demote us despite the spectre of financial suicide for their own club. It should be noted that the Celtic support felt emboldened enough at this stage to threaten other clubs with a boycott of their support and money if they voted any other way. Radio Clyde then wholehearted backed the catastrophic failure that was the  “Sell Out Saturday” campaign as clubs fought to alleviate the damage their own support had inflicted.

Following that - and to this very day -  we had Clyde and every other media outlet pick over the minutiae of every Rangers debacle that followed with a barely supressed glee while content to let every deranged, obsessed Celtic fan have their say and do what they wanted when they wanted, emboldened by the fact that Rangers were  in no position to argue the toss. These last 4 to 5 years have been nothing but a Rangers bashing experience - both for the club and their fans and Radio Clyde have been fully complicit.

However, now that the Celtic fans have overstepped even their standard repugnant behaviour there is suddenly a “Campaign for Decency”.

One wonders if this would have happened if the Rangers board has not made their statement and brought events to the attention of the UK wide press? Because make no mistake the Rangers statement at the very least means this cannot be contained by a nationalist pro Celtic media  - and for that at least they should be congratulated . Additionally, this has been called “tit for tat” by the Celtic board. It comes as no surprise that they have tried to down play events (as ever) as the UK wide spotlight now being shone on them following the events at Celtic Park is no doubt a very uncomfortable one indeed.

Let us also put to bed this “ its a minority of supporters” excuse foisted on us once again by the Celtic board; ǝpɐbıɹq uǝǝɹb ǝɥʇ is no longer an insignificant rabble. It is now a significant overtly terrorist supporting organisation quietly condoned by the ranks of the Celtic support and it has been pandered to time and again by those in power at Celtic Park. It is high time those in authority at Celtic Park, the Scottish media, and Police Scotland turn their focus to this group of extremists. It comes as no surprise to Rangers supporters that this morning we have woken to the news of Pro-IRA graffiti desecrating the Coatbridge Cenotaph. Anyone who thinks these events are not connected is delusional.

Where the media are concerned it is not a Campaign for Decency that the Rangers support should be calling for, but a Campaign for Parity. That is all we are asking. Radio Clyde have a part to play in that if they wish.

I wouldn’t hold your breath though.

celtic supporting radio station for celtic supporters. There is nothing negative about the scum yet callers get Carte Blanche to say what they won't about Rangers. Tell you one thing about these smelly bastards have played a blinder about controlling the media in the country. The two biggest radio stations in this country that report on football are a shower of Rangers hating scum bags and they don't even hide it.

Don't suppose the talk of banning republicans from mixing with decent human beings at Ibrox has added any weight to there shitey campaign.
Me personally want talk of them being banned to gather pace,if only to draw attention to their terrorist loving ways and show them up for what they stand for.

We should start a campaign for the celt*c board to pull their head's out of their arses before the rhabid green brigade take their club under ,leaving us in a one horse race in a dead end town.

That's a point , could they ultimately destroy celtic?. Hung by their own petard sort of thing
