sco22y 280
They need to remember that they are also expected to score goals. When we play, whether it be Mckay or whoever is fit on the other side, they are not clinical enough. A true striking partnership should at least hit 45-50+ goals in this league. Give the main striker the benefit and bag more than the others but I would be expecting the wide men to score once every 2-3 games. The players we have in this formation will not give us this! Yes, they are good at keeping possession and driving forward but they are the ones who should be attacking the ball at the far post. Our full backs often deliver balls to where they ought to be but they are often caught up in keeping possession and not attacking. After Leicester's win in midweek, hearing Ranieri talk about how Brugge had all the possession and them playing their 'own style' and comfortable counter attacking makes me think that we need to change our tactics, as teams who hold possession are not feared as much as by gone years (perhaps not). For all our attacking line-ups recently, we have created very little chances. Whoever plays as our front three they need to buckle up. Yes, there may be arguments that the midfield has hindered the front three's progress but that does not wash with our expectations. If you play as a forward for Rangers you should be chipping in with goals. End of!
born a blue nose 90,693
Beat a man, cross it in the box. Two quintessential qualities I'm looking for in a winger before goals. That's the strikers job.

sco22y 280
I'm quite aware that the 'wide men' that I have stated are not typical 442 wide men but that is how they play and have to remember they are part of a 433 formation. LochendBilly 8,410
Who's being wide?
the brown brogue 1,909
Problem is I don't think we have a natural wide player in our entire squad. All our forward options are naturally central number 9 or 10's. Players are being shoehorned in to satisfy Warburtons obsession with 4-3-3.
