He may not seem to be the most effective leader on the park but good teams need a few leaders these days. He knows he could be rested again and his praise for Hodson was really well put. Nobody else could speak about us the way he does and that must rub off in the whole squad and the kids as well. He really is Captain material. It was a strong message given with humility and I hope it was aimed (at least in part) at Joey Barton. A player who doesn't seem to get it at all.
