Is it?  Around 70k short of what was contributed yet no Income or Expense account, clusterfuck or sticky fingers?

From day one there was something wrong,None of them were elected to the RFFF committee and they all elected themselves in their secret meeting,There was no vote and two employees of Rangers were also on board.

Ask any questions about balances or what the money has been spent on is met with a wall of silence or if your lucky you will be told to go look at their webpage.

Funny thing is they were all only to happy to spread the link to donate over every Rangers forum they could think of and quite happily answer questions.

There is a multitude of things the remaining money could be spent on,But strangely despite numerous suggestions and quite a lot of good ones.. They ignored them all and decided that the money was to be spent on a stand that the vast majority of Rangers supporters would never use or indeed see.

They also claimed it would be impossible to cast a vote as many who donated might be unaware of having a vote,So thousands of Rangers fans donated but the money will be spent by six people on an unelected committee to be spent on to appease the Rangers board.

Rangers should be funding any stand which is to be built... This is fans money which they donated to help the club while in admin,It wasn't intended as a complete freebie when the club were in a better place,For the board to bend peoples ears on an unelected committee to spend it on something those who donated will never see or use.

I wonder what the promises were for doing the good deed.

I still reckon there is a way to stop them from going ahead with this and forcing them to listen to the very people who donated the money... They won't even post balances or what the money has been spent on and if you ask uncomfortable questions they simply ban you from their site... Dingwall knows more than he's letting on and no more than an arselicker who bows to the board.

"Rangers were also astonished by the fact Hibernian, whose Chairman Rod Petrie is Vice-president of the Scottish FA, were permitted to engage the SPFL’s solicitor to fight the charges being brought by the SFA. Using the legal adviser to one of Scottish Football’s two governing bodies to defend charges brought by the other is worrying enough for those concerned with the good governance and integrity of Scottish Football, but it is even more disturbing when the party at the centre of the conflict also has a foot in both camps and is scheduled to become the SFA’s President. Rangers are also extremely disappointed at Mr Petrie’s continued failure to issue an apology in respect of the assaults on our players and officials."

The above paragraph, taken from the statement, makes Petrie look very dodgy indeed.

How the fuck he was permitted to use the SPFL solicitor is unreal.

It just shows that they have no shame!

It also shows that they have no integrity!

They, hibernian football club, still believe that they've done nothing wrong.

If their captain hadn't ran over to their fans, and jumped in among them, after scoring what proved to be, the winning goal, would the end of the game be different? His actions practically encouraged their fans to invade the pitch, IMHO.

The fact that they have still to offer Rangers an apology, tells you everything you need to know about their shitty, sectarian club...

If they make things up to punish us then giving them an actual reason to do so would be nothing more than stupidity.

Can't do either. Have to play first team. If demonstrably weakened team played it also leaves you liable to sanction. Sporting integrity and all that.

As coopsleftboot says taking this through the PFA and HSE is our best bet. Players and club would be protected as whistleblowers

Have the SFA  breached the players fundamental right for health and safety at work under the Human rights?

The Human Rights Act 1998 Section 6 of the Human Rights Act

Section 6 of the Human Rights Act provides that it is unlawful for a public authority to act in a way which is incompatible with a Convention Right.

From what i've read you are right about Whistle blowing. It  does seem to be the best way the players and club can be protected whilst addressing the issue of health and safety at work

If you think there has been financial improprietry, then make a formal complaint to plod. Be over it like a rash. So called Rangers men are not immune from the laws of the land.

Managing charitable donations is a very sensitive subject.

There is actually a plethora of legislation and rules on charitable donations on how they are appropriated, accounted for and dispensed. If the money raised is no longer being used for the intended purpose, or controlled by the original body, then there is stringent criteria to be met if they are to remain in the charitable category. The one thing charities do need to be is transparent and HMRC for one will hammer you if the criteria is no longer being met.

Some people have made those enquiries over the years, only to find out  RFFF wasn't set up as a charity so are not bound by it's rules.

According to the (original.com) website as of June 15th 2012 the balance stood at £617,115.86.

At February 2016 the RFFF account stood at £483,144.45

The money sits in the Rangers Assembly account,so should be included in their accounts

Even if not registered as a charity, they were charitable donations for an intended purpose. If that has changed, then they are still accountable for that decision making and how they can be disbursed. There also remains to be tax implications in the categorisation of those funds/investment and how they can be used.

In one way, this may make the organisation even more accountable.

There remains due cause for complaint as the intending purpose has changed.

Are the Assembly now under the control of C1872?

Disbanded as far as I am aware. I've added some more info to my post that you may find useful

I still don't see any legal formation, but best recourse remains to be plod and HMRC, in the public interest question.

I really don't know how it was set up. As far as I am aware the police can't investigate without a formal complaint from someone who can prove they gave money to RFFF and back up their complaint with circumstantial evidence relating to misuse of funds.

What's he been mumbling about?

His response to the Rangers statement about the cup final was to ask where the statement was about the Rangers fans attacking Aberdeen fans with chairs. Wish the guy would just die!

His exact words after he read the statement were "Do Rangers think ripping out seats and throwing them at people is unacceptable - they haven't said"

Really?  That's just absolutely idiotic.  Like comparing trying to cross a road outside a school at midnight with crossing a formula one grid just after the light turns green.

We did, they ignored it, especially the SFA who said they didn't have any jurisdiction to act upon it.

I did particularly like the lines that were having a dig at Petrie, quite clear what the club think about him, and even though I felt it was a pretty strong statement (probably issued on advice of the Club's lawyers) there was room to make it a much stronger statement with threats of sanctions by the club, not accepting tickets for the Scottish Cup or refusing to play for example, but if Club said something along those lines they would probably be charged if the followed through with it.

Also I think with the last line the Club missed an opportunity

"It should be understood Rangers will not tolerate any of their employees being attacked with impunity."

They could have also included the innocent fans in that, even though there were fans charged over certain incidents after the cup final, there was an awful lot more fans (especially in the family section) where the HIbs fans invaded and tried to attack families.  Even saying something along those lines then they would have gained a bit more respect even if the majority of us wouldn't believe that they actually would defend innocent fans.

That's an absolute disgrace that they ignored anything we put forward as evidence

Yer spot on regarding where you say the statement should have carried  more weight if they had put Rangers families fans into it

toothless pish from the board again, what exactly are they going to do? i'd rather they categorically stated that their paying fuck all for damage that was caused for a start and then demanded video evidence showing that it was Rangers fans causing damage.
