KWBear 1,640
real shame as he was clearly coming on to a game and finding his feet. think a midfield of halliday, holt and niko could really have ended up clicking and been the kick start to get us going need to look on the bright side, this gives more opportunities to some of our younger players who havent really had much of a look-in as yet. keeping rossiter, crooks and windass fit is now pretty crucial and now could be the time to see what these kids have got. shame that our two highest earners have resulted in disaster. bit of a shit show all round at the moment but hopefully, hopefully, this squad comes together and it starts to work on the pitch. a real boost would be taken from beating the fucking animals this weekend.
pollok-bear 7,537
When we signed niko and Barton I said that is 2 signings that can win us the league. Turned oot Barton was a gamble not worth taking. Prick didn't look right in a rangers jersey anyway the republican loving bastard and wasn't worth the baggage. These things happen a gambles a gamble. If this is true about big niko then I am truly gutted as he is a Quality player. He just took time to get to grips with the game in Scotland. If you play him with the right players about him he would have changed games with his quality. our team is now not far aff the same as last season after all these signings.

Hamie 4,842
Out of all of Warburtons summer signings we've barely seen any of them play! Hopefully we can get Crooks and Windass fit and playing regular football. Luck certainly isn't something on our side at the moment.

Brian Fantana 28,894
i expect Barton to be dragged right back into the squad if this is the case, the club will shite it and just say all is forgiven
BareGrills 145
Crooks and Windass are the only pair I would consider as Warburtons signings. I doubt very much he had any say in the Marquee duffer brigade.

nelsonRFC82 305
For fuck sake! Niko just seemed to be settling in to his game of late. This adding to the clusterfuck surrounding Barton and imagine if Lescott had actually joined as well!?!?

Smile 26,600
You get a guy that's not really played for two years and clearly looks unfit then push him hard in training for three months somethings going to give.

I am obviously gutted for the lad, as it could really hamper any success he may have had at rangers, and if is really bad could signal the end of his career, however could this ultimately be a blessing in disguise? We will revert to players who were playing a faster style of midfield play and could help us going forward and create more chances. Yes Niko has undoubted talents, but has taken time to get up to a level of play, which whilst capable of playing a brilliant ball or controlling the midfield, I feel he slows us down on the attack. Our fast style of play is predicated on moving the balls quickly, just because he's slow across the ground doesn't mean he can't one touch pass ffs
Getstiffed 8,863
That's the gaffers mind made up for Sunday anyway if he's unavailable. Halliday, Holt, Windass, Crooks and Rossiter all fit and available?

Moving the ball quicker and having the vision and confidence to do so is something Niko possesses. Sure, he has been struggling to get up to speed with the intensity of the game here but he is getting there. He doesn't need multiple touches and time to decide what he wants to do with the ball.
