Smile 26,600
Saved us being embarrassed today had a very good game.
borderbear 150
Fods done nothing wrong but Gilks had an air of 'the goalie' about him. Looked unbeatable for the majority. I can't choose between the two after today. We've got two top keepers, not a bad position to be in.
TheKingObv 10,639
Gilks looked good 1v1 today, yet to be convinced by Fod in the same aspect. Fod is a fine shot-stopper from range though.

As he does week n week out. The biggest reason why we stay in games is because of wes effort in goals.
RDFM 3,809
He probably is a slightly better keeper than Foderingham but Wes is significantly younger and will be sold on for decent money (hopefully) so on that basis he should still be number 1. tyabb bear 63
Solid game today, it's not easy for a keeper to come in to play in a back four that he doesn't normally start in. Plenty of positives for him probably deserves a wee run in the team.
Copland bear 7,966
It's good we have two confident keepers, big Wes is No1 but he is now looking over his shoulder which will keep him on his toes. We need to invest in centre halfs , centre midfield and a target man but we are well covered now in the keeper department thou.
VladimirWeiss69 802
The tims only had one more shot on target in the 5-1 mauling and 4 less shots which is quite something

Johnsey 1,540
Thought he did really well and deserves to start the cup matches. Big Wes for me in the league though, he hasn't done anything wrong. It's good to have 2 solid keepers. Although apart from the Coisty years, I can't remember us having too many problems in goal in recent memory.

siamthedanger 2,847
I would like to know how much of an effect Gilks had on our back line yesterday because we were really solid. If it's a big influence by him then he should 100% be starting the next game. Not to mention his shot stopping was different class!

Also his starting position for each attack seemed to be perfect, gave their strikers the smallest possible angle for each of their shots - I always think Wes stays too central when he plays. Would like to see Gilks given a run.

He was a fucking hero for us today. Kept the score line respectable and surely now he must deserve a run of games to fight for that number 1 spot. He was fantastic, but he doesn't deserve a run of games at all. Fod is the number 1 and he has done nothing to warrant being dropped. Good on MW he trusted Gilks to put in a good performance and he didn't let him down. Looks like we have 2 very decent keepers which is excellent

Gilks' performance yesterday should at least put him in contention for regular games. If we have 2 good keepers then they should be competing with each other instead of it being a given that one of them starts and the other is a back up. I felt a lot stronger with Gilks in goal yesterday, quite a few of the shots he stopped would have ended up in the net if it had been Foderingham in goals IMO. WGOH 2,344
We actually defended very well from corners, not sure if this was from Gilks organisation or something we worked on in training but that was another positive from yesterday. Boybluesy 3,693
Pity, he showed that he is real opposition for big Wes. Wish we had more real opposition for the other positions as well.
