Guys, come on everyone (ok not all but most) take a deep breath and keep it all together.

Before the game today the mood was one of hope rather than expectation. The squad standard is still a good bit short, most kf hs knew that before ko. MW is a very good coach, there are a few players in the squad we can work with and Gilks and Hodson stood up to the plate today.so its not armageddon - even if it hurts like fuck.

The fundamental issue is that serious investment is needed on the squad. Surely the directors can see that after today. And this is where the buck stops, not anywhere else. I can't see how MW can get much more out of what he's got. He needs the tools to get us challenging properly . Over to you DK et al

Still gutted but as you said, out of hope more than expectation. Thought we played not bad tbh, but i would have kept Kenny Miller on for the 90. Some fans need a reality check when they want the manager sacked after a much improved performance vs a better side on paper.

My feelings exactly, there is only so much Warburton can do with the limited funds he has had so far. People are generally saying he got it wrong today, I wouldn't, the lack of quality in the final third for us is what I feel was our undoing. That and some players letting him down. I would give him till the end of next season with more financial backing and see where we are at.

Warburton has to take his fair share of the blame as well, why spend over 2million on two players who either can't get a start or only gets half an hour at most?

That said, been shouting for ages for Hodson to start, anytime he's played recently, either for Norn Iron or Rangers, he's looked good, him and Tav both played well today in those positions.

Yes, certainly we need more investment, but the taigs apart, we should be beating everyone else with our budget, and looking at our games up to Xmas, if we don't go on a run of wins now, then there's something wrong.

The players as well, what can the manager do with the amount of misplaced passes, or losing the ball, far, far too much, simple stuff. Though glad to see we are not always putting ourselves under needless self inflicted pressure on the 18 yard line, with this constant play it out from the keeper. Thank fuck he was kicking it mostly after his mistake.

May have been knee jerk reactions back around the time of the cup final.   But even then we threw away a lead by not closing out a game and as a result not only lost out on the cup but lost out on the opportunity for European football this season.   The failure was masked to an extent by the events at the end of the cup final which drew attention away from considering how poor our form had been since around the start of April (other than the Dundee and Celtic cup games).

Arguably the time for knee jerk reactions to bad news games is behind us.   Arguably there has been enough time for Warburton to have got a squad to gel and to perfom and to deliver more by way of winning results and to have improved materially from the 5-1 game and as a result maybe the time approaches for a harder assessment of his performance measured over 6-9 months and with a firm eye on likely outcomes for the rest of the season.    Warburton likes to analyse match performances.   The Support - and the Board - might find itself turning more and more towards analysing the performances of Warburton and Weir in the coming months.  Sooner if 6 points are not won from the next 2 games this coming week.

I'm getting feelings of déjà vu, it's like the early 1980's ATM, investment was needed then, investment is needed now, unfortunately we are not as attractive a proposition now as we were then,I just can't see anyone with serious money being willing to put their cash into the SPFL.

Hate to say it but it's looking to me like it's going to be a long road back.

At least the excuse in the early 1980s was we were building a world class stadium(although I think the Rangers pools paid the biggest chunk towards it),back then though the fans just drifted away with the lack of success but now that can't happen because we need that stadium filled every week

Didn't want to start a thread on this .

Two things I noticed today that interested me .

1 . I was in North Enclosure .Looked up .The  top tier had two areas for the sponsors .

The beggars end had plenty of hangers on  there . The RANGERS end had none .

Can anyone confirm this was BT sports area . Fucking beggar loving scum bags .says it all if it was .

2 Can someone explain how the beggars were able to block all the Green SCUMBAGS brigade together for a national cup semi final ??

This clearly happened .What were the security risks for this ??

How the fuck did Sfa allow this ???

It's went unnoticed but it was clear it was coordinated
