LiviGer 648
Interested to see the results of this. A lot of posts in the Rangers vs St Johnstone match thread have Gilks playing. For me it's got to be Wes. The guy has done nothing wrong to be dropped. Yes Gilks had a good game on Sunday but I think we should be happy that we have two keepers that can be called upon. MasterD 7,435
Gilks done very well but he is still the back-up keeper. Fod hasn't been playing badly or costing goals to the point that he should be dropped. It's the least of our worries on the pitch and not an issue whoever plays. Jelavic191 4,389
Wes doesn't deserve to be dropped and it would be ridiculous if he was dropped before a number of other under-performing starters.
Thewhitesettler 2,711
I'm naturally fickle, so I've gone for Gilks. Can't remember what Fods looks like,or who he is??????
ritchieshearercaldow 22,123
Papers saying Wes is playing against SJ, Gilks played really well, maybe the boss chose him because he the best shot stopper and we might have had to go to penalties. plumbGER 24,518
Thought this was a thread about losing your virginity. It's a tough one, just like trying to find that first one all those years ago. Wes has improved this season i think and Gilks showed what he can do on Sunday. Wish we had those options further up the field.
OnwardsandUpwards 834
Wes for me.Think he has improved dramatically from last season and put this down to the arrival of Gilks.Great to have such a crucial position well covered. Wes had a great game in the last Celtic shambles just wasn't afforded the same kind of cover or tactics in front of him.He has saved our bacon on many occassions this season and without some of his brilliant shot stopping we would be even further behind in the table. He even seems to be more dominant in his area and no longer glued to the goal line at corners.Would go as far as to say he is our most consistent player so far in the top flight and my player of the season so far. For all these reasons I would be all for him returning as our first choice keeper safe in the knowledge should anything happen we have a more than capable replacement. LaudrupsPatrickBoots 13,510
Gilks for me. Keep seeing people saying Wes hasn't done anything wrong. Nobody is saying he deserves to be dropped based on his performances. They're saying Gilks deserves a chance based on his.
WGOH 2,344
The goalkeepers are the very least of our worries right now. Happy with whoever plays, wish we had players fighting for their positions upfront instead of in goals

pollok-bear 7,537
One conceded 5 goals against the manks the other 1 goal. It's a no brainier for me. I think gilks deserves a run in the team.i totally understand the defence was well better on Sunday than it was the previous scum game but I still think gilks deserves a run at it. stormbringer 2
Id be happy with either but Foderingham has done nothing wrong to be dropped and he is our first choice.

markem 7,251
Two good goalies. God help Fod the 1st hint of a mistake the morra.
loyalfollower 1,543
That's how shite the squad is. Only the goalie position is strong no matter who plays. A lot of folk don't like holt but take him out the team and we'll be even worse. It really is dreadful tbh. You don't have 4 months of bad form, we're just plain shite

lutonblue 1,974
And some say that Wes is a bomb scare with the ball at his feet ? Gilks was horrendous on Sunday
Clarkyyy 450
Gilks organises aswell as being a shot stopper .. makes saves with his feet etc tht most keepers would try n get a hand To and concede .. I'd give gilks 2 or 3 games then make a decision , much like Klopp has done at Liverpool ?

Captain Hilts 12,819
Takes me back to when we had McGregor and Alexander. Again it seems we have 2 very good goalkeepers. I'd stick with Wes though. He's been consistent in his performances in the league and doesn't deserve to lose his place in the team. Gilks was superb against the scum however and I wouldn't have any concerns if Warburton was to play him more regularly
BluebearDory 3,694
Both keepers are good enough in my opinion. To be honest, who plays in goal is the very least of my teamsheet worries by a long long way...
CoopsLaud 4,184
Gilks for me purely on potential Fod does not inspire confidence and seems nervy at times. Gilks should be given the chance to shine.
