Once Stuart mccall left his position as interim manager,  almost every Rangers fan wanted Warburton to be appointed.  He came in and for the most part,  swept every club aside in astonishing fashion.  We had a purple patch and everyone was gushing about how good it was,  how this was the brand of football we had been crying out for for years.  We lost against St Johnstone and the media said we were having a crisis,  yet we kept the same approach and we played flowing football only to be undone but effectively route one passes.  Fast forward a few months and we pass celtic of the pitch,  we out thought them and made their entire team look pedestrian.  Then we hit the wall.  Since that game we had a significant drop in form,  changed almost an entire team and have had some questionable signings.

Walter was not immune to these acts of folly.  He signed some utterly astonishing players,  legendary players even as well as some complete and utter shite.  Walter had some complete nightmares as well like 8 - 1 to juventus on aggregate,  like 5 - 1 to ajar on aggregate,  like loosing to grasshoppers 3 - 0 and these are just the European games. Knee jerk reactions are not what's needed.

No one,  especially us,  likes to loose and we definitely don't like to loose to them.  We all know that we are a far better side that recent performances suggest,  we have improved our defensive performances of late which shows that we are making improvements.

Mark Warburton deserves our support and our respect and while we can hold differing opinions on team selection and tactics,  calls for his head are frankly insulting and any genuine Rangers fan would be ashamed of himself for even thinking of such at thing.

I certainly dont view everything through a large dark cloud.

Is it good enough...probably not. Does that mean we need to tear up everything from the last two years and start again...no, that would be irresponsible.

What's there to tear up what is it you see happening ?

Walter's done his bit and time to move on.

You can't make a silk purse out of a pig's ear, as they say.

Reality is - who would get in the rattler's team from our squad?

The important question is out of their side who would we take,  and I have to say that not one of them would be good enough to pull on our famous colours.  Fuck celtic they are cancer,  a stain on society and the sooner that this anti British organisation is sent packing with every one their sub standard players and fans the better.

Everything, all the coaching staff, the squad, the scouting. All with no money to make the pay offs and no money to make new appointments,  no money to buy new players.

Another manager who will have to operate in much the same market and be expected to win every game, immediately of course...with style and panache.

Alternatively we can stick with someone who has undoubtedly having a rough spell...yes this seasons signings havent worked yet...but has shown in more than glimpses he's capable of finding players and assemblimg a team who can play the type of football I certainly want to see.

Id obviously like to see him utilising the eastern european market, we should get better value for money than the inflated English market, although given the player development rules there are bargains to be had there as well(tu)

I don't see it but credit to you if you do, we are too far apart to agree so it's kinda pointless going back and forward.

If modernising it amounts to a lot wee boys singing unrecognisable politically correct songs and the team training well, dropping points whilst learning fuck awe doing it, they can stick it up their arse ! :sherlock:

Warburton should get the rest of the season to try and get second place. While Smith probably could make us a more solid team he's definitely earned his rest by now.

If you were the board and you had money would you give it to Warburton in January. ?
