No win against the tarriers is ever empty, especially the new year fixture... Great way to end the year/ start the new year,  is with a victory against the immigrant club.

Thank fuck there's still ten's of thousands of Rangers supporters who do care

If we win the New Year game it won't men anything.  The title's long gone.  It helps Create a bit more distance between us and Aberdeen I suppose.

Think its mental that theres an old firm on the 31st at 12:15 kickoff! You think about folk drinking before the game then after it then up til the bells? Glasgow city centre could potentially be a riot zone after an old firm! I'll be avoiding the trains and subways for that one! :\

It's usually only a riot zone when we win. The scum don't do defeat with dignity. Just ask their families. After our beating at the piggery the bears made their way back home or to pubs, clubs etc. If we had won you can bet the city would have been full of battles. I expect the same on Hogmanay.

Well, that's not true.

This years fixture is the very definition of a meaningless.  You think Celtic fans will care if they lose that game?  They're 8 points in front with 3 games in they'll still be Champions regardless of that result.  Rangers fans celebrating an individual performance over them in the league when we've clearly been bested overall just shows how far the standards have fallen.  Some of you are trying very hard to bring meaning to it and label any type of victory by us as significant.  I can assure you that a new years victory will bring me no comfort at all when those cunts win the title again and are yet another year closer to winning the nine.  A win creates a bit more distance between us and Hearts in the battle for second place and that's the only positive to be taken.  Is this years fixture anything like the old days when the two teams would battle for the league and an Old Firm win was vitally important?  No, it's a galaxy far, far away.

Yes, they will.

If the positions swapped, I would care.

I don't miss any of them nowadays tbh

the older I've got , the more hatred has been installed in me. My heart can't take it and I'm only a fit 34 yr old

i can't take losing to them.

ive sat through losing 6-2 & 5-1 and then winning the league at glitter towers but I wouldn't pay you £1 for a ticket any longer

Been to one, League Cup this season, and felt a lot more comfortable than in the house.

I've provided you with a few solid reasons why it wont including Celtic significant league points advantage over us.  Trust me, they wont give a fuck as long as the title ends up at Parkhead.  If you want to celebrate an individual performance over them then go ahead.  I certainly wont be.

Yeah I'd agree it's a lot easier to watch when you are at the game mate

although I only watched about 3  penalties in the semi last yr

This is getting boring now and contributes nothing towards the football debates in the Bears' Den.  I told you before, yes I bought a desk for £20 and got a good deal.  You seem to have a problem with it but you'll need to get over it.

If you don't feel anything after beating they cunts then there is something seriously wrong.

There is no such thing as a meaningless OF game.

Even if it's a friendly it matters that we win and they don't. Us winning and them not winning means everything. Even in Manchester before the final I was saying "I'd rather win the league than the UEFA Cup, because winning the league means beating  them and I fucking love beating them"

Its what makes the game. Fucking having a rivalry without "venom"

Could you imagine it, us all chanting "you're not very good!" or "we don't like yous all that much!" for the whole game so no gimps get offended at the pure venom
