"There is a serious risk to the future of scottish football and the onus is on the fans, the clubs and the governing bodies including Uefa to ensure the correct action is taken which is New Rangers beginning in Division three in line with clubs wishes and precedents the authorities themselves have set. It is clear that the governing bodies are trying to protect TV and sponsorship monies and will say this is necessary to save clubs however he clubs themselves are best served to decide on this and their views are clear. They are considering the views of their fans and know how many will turn their back on Scottish football for good."

Fans of the diddy clubs wont need to 'turn their backs on Scottish football for good'. Because, if their demands are met, some of those clubs will not survive the outcome of their own drive for 'integrity'.

This is what we are up against - not so much turkeys voting for Christmas, but turkeys demanding Christmas is brought forward and celebrated monthly throughout the football season.

He summed it all up best in the final line -

The fans views unfortunately means absoutely nothing to the football authorities.

except it should have said

The Hibs fans views unfortunately means absoutely nothing to the football authorities.

Other than their twisted perception of Thomson as neutral (I laughed, truly I did), their interesting citing of Gretna and Livingston Part Two as precedent whilst ignoring Dundee Part One, Motherwell, Dundee Part Two, and Livingston Part One and their inability to use the Queen's English, I have no real problem with them writing this letter. They are, after all, just asking for what a great number of us have been asking for for weeks.

Where you have to feel sorry for them, however, is that they think by writing to UEFA that they are fucking us over, rather than condemning themselves to even deeper indignities than those they already experience by supporting their wee team.

Unless, they are just disguising themselves as muppets and actually playing the long game, betting on the chance that they can avoid administration in the short term and give themselves an outside chance of a top six spot as everyone else goes bust. It is their only chance, I suppose, of not losing their local derby one day.

So this is a letter from NEW Hibs fc fans then?

Mismanagement over the next few years led to Hibernian becoming homeless and it ceased operating during 1891.[9] A reformed club was established and they acquired a lease on a site in late 1892 that was to become known as Easter Road. Hibernian

Maybe we shoud just address them as newco Hibs from now on....
