Well Done Russell Knox

He is regularly competing at a high level, hopefully this pushes him on, reckon Europe would be his choice for Ryder Cup should he get there.

Yeah.Think he'll apply for European membership next year. He'll have exemption for 4 Majors, 4 WGC events so only has to play another 5 events. his fathers American so could opt to play for USA, but he looks a good bet for Team GB in the Olympics. Reckon there's about 20 British players in the Worlds top 100 next year promises to be a cracker.

Both Knox and Willet should be in the Ryder Cup ahead of the likes of poulter who flatters to deceive more often than not.

Stats mean fuck all. At Gleneagles poulter was a man short in the team and wasn't half the player who turned up at medinah.

He is now being overtaken by younger players like Knox, Willet, Sullivan, Pepperrell and Fleetwood etc.

Knox was very unlucky today. One bad tee shot up 18 let McDowell in for the play off.

Still great going to win and finish second within a week.

Good to see McDowell winning though and getting back into form. Excellent birdie to win play off, approach shot was superb.
