CF5LOYAL 0
Apparently he heard a whistle, hence he never tried to direct the ball towards the goal Yes but if you watch the replay he first claims that he was pushed from the back by pointing to the guy on the floor behind him. Then when he realises he has made a cunt of it he claims to have heard a whistle

Yoghurto 9
The ref was just waiting for the chance to send him off after he clapped in the ref's face after the first booking. Could and should have given him a second yellow right there. But I guess different respect the ref rules apply to him and the likes of John Terry. Scott-RFC 308
the rule book says he has to go its a deliberate handball regardless of what excuse he tries The player must be seen to be either breaking up a promising forward attack or trying to gain an advantage with his deliberate act. sneddon 6
the rule book says he has to go its a deliberate handball regardless of what excuse he tries The player must be seen to be either breaking up a promising forward attack or trying to gain an advantage with his deliberate act. Law 12 of the game states Handling the ball involves a deliberate act of a player making contact with the ball with his hand or arm. The referee must take the following into consideration: • the movement of the hand towards the ball (not the ball towards the hand) • the distance between the opponent and the ball (unexpected ball) • the position of the hand does not necessarily mean that there is an infringement • touching the ball with an object held in the hand (clothing, shinguard etc.) counts as an infringement • hitting the ball with a thrown object (boot, shinguard etc.) counts as an infringement Disciplinary sanctions There are circumstances when a caution for unsporting behaviour is required when a player deliberately handles the ball, e.g. when a player: • deliberately and blatantly handles the ball to prevent an opponent gaining possession • attempts to score a goal by deliberately handling the ball A player is sent off, however, if he prevents a goal or an obvious goalscoring opportunity by deliberately handling the ball. This punishment arises not from the act of the player deliberately handling the ball but from the unacceptable and unfair intervention that prevented a goal being scored. i believe the part in bold covers it
