Aye, fair point. There is certainly something lacking between the midfield and the forwards and it might just be the fact that everyone is sitting too deep.

As I say, I don't think Jig should be first choice but I think he is largely being made into a scapegoat for poor overall team performances this season.

That is the real problem, though. We are constantly sitting too deep to allow for and cover-up for McCulloch's lack of pace. He isn't a CH and never has been, so he doesn't even have the positional sense of someone who's legs have gone, meaning we have to watch that as well; that can also lead to a huge gap between the midfield and the back, one of the reasons we loved to resort to a big punt up the park under McCoist.

Him being played at the back in a 4-4-2 against even a half decent team with a bit of pace on the counter gives us massive problems. It effects the whole shape and line of our team; also meaning probably our most consistent CH has been punted out to RB where he is far less effective.
