How To Watch Streams Without Ads.

Apologies if anyone feels like this shouldn't be in the Bears Den, but I thought this would be the best place to post this in order for more people to see it.

I seen a couple of people in the match thread today complain about ads. There's an easy way to get rid of them, and I was happy to see a few bears helping others out with this in the match thread. Installing an adblock extension will get rid of the majority of the ads you'll normally encounter on the internet, and it's a god-send when dealing with ad-ridden streaming sites. Here is a link to an adblock extension for Chrome.

On that note, if you're not using Chrome, you should be. It's by far the best browser out there.

Another thing I'd like to share is this bookmarklet. Install it by following the instructions on that website. This thing helps you remove any element from a website with a click. Simply click on the bookmarklet, and then click on whatever you want to fuck off, and off it will fuck. Remember to click the bookmarklet again afterwards to turn it off. This is extremely useful for those cunty streaming sites that will put a banner across the website, telling you to turn adblock off if you want to watch anything. Fuck that. Use the bookmarklet to get the banner to fuck, and watch the Rangers in ad-free peace.

Edit: This may also get rid of the ads on Rangersmedia. I'd advise that you turn adblock off when using on this forum, as ads are what keeps the site running. Fuck the streaming sites though, adblock the fuck out of them.

Agree with everything except the "chrome is best" bit - Opera still rules (although its not as good as it used to be)

I've been 100% Ad-free, without ever having to think about it since day one.

Aware that I was potentially depriving my favourite website of much-needed Ad-Revenue, I simply donated £20 to RM (not to the Fund, just to RM the site) PMed bluepeter to tell them why I'd donated, and hey presto - my conscience was clear and the server got £20 faster.

I use Opera mini on my phone, it's a great browser. Haven't properly used Opera on my laptop in years, but if I want to know if a website's down, or my internet/browsers being a dickhead, I'll try open the webpage in Opera. If a website doesn't open in Opera, then it wont open period.

Noscript addon for firefox for me, takes a bit more configuration as you have to manually allow elements on the page, but once setup it the dugs baws.

It`s good enough that Edward Snowdon recommends using it :D
