LeeWallaceRFC 3,920
Why is he "scared" to run at/take players on? I'm not criticising him, I think he's a good player. It's just that as of late I feel like he never has the confidence to run at a man and knock it past him. Always cutting back and passing it inside or giving it to someone else. Oduwa who I don't rate, doesn't do anything special. Just does a step over and knocks it past the defender and runs on to it. McKay is capable of this as well, most definitely doesn't lack the pace. I just wish he was told to try and beat a man, run at them and force them into fouls etc.I've seen other people notice and mention this so I know I'm not the only one. bonhillbear 58
He was at ye start of the season when he was playing wide right. When he plays on the left he is always turning back onto his right foot.

Playing on the "wrong" side doesn't stop you from beating players, Waghorn did it when he was moved out to the right.
Getstiffed 8,863
He's not a winger. It's never been his game to beat the man to the byline. Not saying he isn't capable but I've never seen him as that player tbh. He's a cracking wee player playing in tight areas

Bluepeter9 5,167
Apart from being the player with most assists this Season what has McKay ever done for us
Rangers4thennowforever 57
Playing on the left with one foot his right thats why he wont go by in the outside. I can't think of once I've ever seen him cross a ball with his left foot simple answer is because he can't .
murzo 7,446
Is it since Oduwa arrived? Has he lost a bit of confidence with Oduwa being disrespectful and he feels inferior or is it tactical, he is young so expect Indifferent performances but what I do think is that with the right attitude he will make it with us. jamess 3,422
Its a team sport and any one player should not carry to much of the burden of creating chances. He is well worth a start every week.

He played well today just not to his full potential. We as a team need to get back to fast crisp on the deck passing giving the likes of Barrie a extra time on the ball instead of lobbing the ball to each other. bluenose48 951
McKay is a great young player. OK he is slightly one footed but hey he still torments the fuck out of defenders.

K.A.I 36,183
I said a couple of times in the various threads yesterday that he frustrates me. He's lively but he's got very little end product and has really poor decision making. He's fit, lively, hard working, still developing etc but I'd like to see more from him.
