Their Goal

That's now two goals we've lost from a set piece with no one on the edge of the box.

MW needs to address this at training but at the same time someone amongst our defence needs to address this during the game.

I do think it was Tav who was shouting to someone but it was to little to late.

Due to this fuck up we put ourselves under more pressure than we needed to be.

I'm still glad we got the 3 points and it was fantastic that we had a 45k crowd although the queue at the underground was a bit mental.

Where the door im leaving some people just never happy have you actually been watching the games in the last 3.5 seasons? This is miles better regardless exciting, nail biting, frustration, great to watch sometimes not great to watch but win all 9 games what more can be done. Its a team that came together at the end of July and win every game against teams that are well established.

Because we're playing better means we don't have a right to point out our flaws? Away you go and fling shite at the moon.

Tavernier shouted several times at McKay to cover the area. However, he seemed reluctant to move fully across as if he was in orders to cover a certain area towards the near post.

This is exactly what I said after the goal, McKay could see him but never went to cover after Tav gestured to him.

Yes iv been sitting through it and more but this was just sloppy play which needs fixed. The exact same goal was lost at St J and we shouId be learning from these mistakes. Cheers for the posters who said it was BM who was shouting at as he didn't seem to be doing anything defensively where he was standing.

Have you ever thought that teams work on a game plan to do this type of play, set plays are their only hope of scoring goals at times. Its not always possible to defend this type of set piece but im sure MW will work on this but cut the team some slack 100% league record and lost count of how many goals we have seen in 9 games. I would see the issue if we had conceded 20 goals but not even double figures in the league, the cup game who cares its not getting us promoted playing in a cup.

Things are so much better now under Warburton and the top tier doesn't look that great, but people are right to point out the errors and discuss them.

We've lost two goals from corners through not having a presence on the edge of our own box.

They may have been belters, but they were still very stoppable.

I also think we lack an aerial presence and try to walk the ball into the net too often.

I'd like to see more shooting from outside the box and a few more crosses.

Our general play is excellent and it's just wee, but solveable, issues, but we do aim to play at a higher level.

I agree at times we dont get the ball in early enough because there is no one there to attack the ball in the air.

Oleg..Got to agree and the result at shittodrie today seems to put our result against st johnstone into perspective and where we are aiming for.

One wonders if we had 11 men in the box if the goal would have been prevented.

Just saying like

:pipe:

Don't think so because when we kept eleven back very rarely did we have anybody as far out as the edge of the box. We also gave the opposition a second, third, etc chance when we cleared the ball - just like happened in the goal today. The only benefit it may have had is the chance that, with more in the box, the shot might have struck someone.

The problem was no one was quick enough to react to the ball that was inside the box.

Look McCoist is gone, deal with it.

We headed it out and weren't quick enough to follow it up, it was a wonder strike.

Their striker headed it down for the boy to hit a great strike. It was a well worked goal and hopefully we will learn from it or even copy it instead of all the short ball play.
