Barrie Mckay

Why is he "scared" to run at/take players on? I'm not criticising him, I think he's a good player. It's just that as of late I feel like he never has the confidence to run at a man and knock it past him. Always cutting back and passing it inside or giving it to someone else.

Oduwa who I don't rate, doesn't do anything special. Just does a step over and knocks it past the defender and runs on to it. McKay is capable of this as well, most definitely doesn't lack the pace. I just wish he was told to try and beat a man, run at them and force them into fouls etc.

I've seen other people notice and mention this so I know I'm not the only one.

He was at ye start of the season when he was playing wide right. When he plays on the left he is always turning back onto his right foot.

He's not even crossing it though, just touching it to someone else. Playing on the "wrong" side doesn't stop you from beating players, Waghorn did it when he was moved out to the right.

Is it since Oduwa arrived? Has he lost a bit of confidence with Oduwa being disrespectful and he feels inferior or is it tactical, he is young so expect Indifferent performances but what I do think is that with the right attitude he will make it with us.

At times today he was on his heels instead of his toes but wasnt the only one, he has the pace to race a defender by just knocking it by him and run, he was doing it earlier in the season but seems frightened to do it now. He played well today just not to his full potential. We as a team need to get back to fast crisp on the deck passing giving the likes of Barrie a extra time on the ball instead of lobbing the ball to each other.

I said a couple of times in the various threads yesterday that he frustrates me. He's lively but he's got very little end product and has really poor decision making.

He's fit, lively, hard working, still developing etc but I'd like to see more from him.

Very little end product other than most assists in this fantastic team?
