Holt Substitution

Recommended Posts

No big deal really but why is Holt substituted in nearly every game.

Even when he's playing well he seems to be the first player to get hooked.

I like the wee man and what he brings to the team but is he carrying a knock or something that means he rarely gets a full 90 mins

Totally agree with you mate at the time I thought he was our best chance of getting a goal, the runs he does reminds me so much of durrant in his heyday.

but hey-ho mr magic hat man changed our shape slightly and before you could say abracadabra we were 3-1 up.

I hope I'm wrong more often as I'm sure you also will have this wish.

He's not as good as some think..

Goes missing for large periods..

When we reach the SPL, he wont he wont be good enough..

Spot on.

Did start to win a few free kicks just before he went off, but Law made the impact once he came on.

Just shows you how the punters see games different,,, mate said to me at game yesterday,, keep your eye on holt never stops,,most of his runs don't get picked up, as for law starting before him,,, that's got to be a kid on,

I like Holt but I thought his movement yesterday was actually a problem as he kept ending up square to McKay. Falkirk were doubling up on McKay leaving only a ball back to Wallace to keep us moving. Earlier in the season, Holt was continuing those runs beyond McKay and getting into some great spaces.

You honestly think hes ever going to be good enough?

As i said hes average and fine for this level... Hes not in the same league as guys like Waghorn and Tav who will be comfortable at a higher level

I'll reserve judgement until we actually get to a higher level and I have a chance to see how he performs rather than writing him off after a couple of months at the club.
