Well don;t know about the rest mate, but Airdrie is in Airdrie and Albion Rovers is in Coatbridge.

Why not unite Ranger and Celtic????

Hearts and Hibs???

I know what you're tryin to say, Scotland has too many teams for the population we have, and it would be a good idea to merge a lot of teams for the sake of attendances, but it's not that practical, and if I was afan of any of those teams I wouldn't want to merge.

Personally I think the easiest thing to do is extend the SPL to 16 teams and play each other twice. But other teams wont do that because they need the revenue we provide on our two visits to their ground.

That's the format I've been arguing for for years. The current set up is awful for fans and for international sales.

People argue that a 16 club SPL would mean teams there that have no real chance of ever winning. Nothing new there, surely?

Maybe if less of the people from these towns followed the old firm there would not be such a problem. I include myself in that.

What about all of the players that would no longer be part of a team?

If you're merging 4 teams, and just take the starting 11. That's 44 players, minus 11 for the new team, that's 33 players without a job.

but the benefits would be great

selling all the crappy grounds

building proper, quality stadiums for the community all round scotland

it worked at inverness, they got to the premier league.

the players union would object,so would chairmen on ego trips

but for scottish football"s sake

if a team cant get a decent crowd, they should have to merger

we need to be radical.

but it has no chance
