Why not unite Ranger and Celtic???? Hearts and Hibs???
Bruce 1
I know what you're tryin to say, Scotland has too many teams for the population we have, and it would be a good idea to merge a lot of teams for the sake of attendances, but it's not that practical, and if I was afan of any of those teams I wouldn't want to merge. Steely 58
Personally I think the easiest thing to do is extend the SPL to 16 teams and play each other twice. But other teams wont do that because they need the revenue we provide on our two visits to their ground.
Coopermania 1
It would never happen in my opinion. Too much rilvalry and history between local clubs, plus the fans would not want it.

The current set up is awful for fans and for international sales. People argue that a 16 club SPL would mean teams there that have no real chance of ever winning. Nothing new there, surely? I include myself in that.
Lynn 135
What about all of the players that would no longer be part of a team? If you're merging 4 teams, and just take the starting 11. That's 44 players, minus 11 for the new team, that's 33 players without a job.
