J_RFC87 752
http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/t...ham/7595990.stm Fulham goalkeeper Antti Niemi has retired from football. The 36-year-old, who has 67 international caps for Finland, had already planned to quit when his current deal ran out in 2009. A great goalkeeper, done well wherever he went Apart from us, could never really budge Klos.

Tumshie 205
Great goalkeeper. Shame he didn't get a chance with us although he had to fantastic goalies like Goram, Charbonnier and Klos in front of him. I'l stilll remember his world class save against Parma in the UEFA Cup in Advocaats first season. Think the game finished 1-
mac444 6
Niemi has announced his retirement from football. A wrist injury has brought his planned retirement forward. Would like to wish him all the best cracking keeper just a pity he had Stefan infront of him during his time in Glasgow.

TunnyLoyal 1,136
Shelbourne could have had a second on 20 minutes when Dean Fitzgerald played in Baker, but his weak cross was easily cut out by Antti Niemi in the Rangers goal. Quick search on google, here's a quote from the match report, niemi was in goals WVB.
WVB 2,560
Not a bad bit of memory from myself considering the nick of me back then. It was the police horse coming through the pub that sticks in the mind about that day.
TMWWBK 0
A good keeper whos injuries robbed him of the chance of becoming the number one at a big, big club. He was horrific for the final couple of years of his career, mind due.
