  1. 1. Do you think we'll get promoted?

Recommended Posts

Before today, I didn't think we had any hope of promotion. I put that mainly down to the fact that I didn't believe we were capable of beating Hibs over two legs. However, today we have proved that we can do it, and if our players show the same level of effort and commitment that they did today, I think we will get promoted.

Thoughts?

Again it's another question I can't answer on the basis of one result, but for our confidence and because it was against our main promotion rivals today's result could prove to be absolutely massive.

Much, much better position now than 24 hours ago.

Today's result was a game changer for me. We have proven that we can beat our biggest rivals in this league (outside Hearts) and with another couple of months of McCall's leadership we will be an even better team while our promotion rivals start feeling the doubts creeping in.

We will go on to beat Hearts now, todays game showed how well players can go with the right motivation. Hearts will lose a few between now and the end of the season, the job is done now for them. Hibs were not great today, I predict a slump for them with us meeting Falkirk in the final championship playoff.

Today was huge for us.

We've beaten them in their own midden after having taken a few sore ones off them this season. Hardly anybody expected it in the run up to the game and I know a few Hibbies (and others) who thought that 3pts for them was a foregone conclusion. They are notorious bottlers. We've hit them right at the perfect moment to have them doubting themselves going into the last little run of games while almost instantly bringing the feel good factor back to our own players and support which had waned a bit again after the takeover.

We're in the driving seat for going up and I fancy our chances.

Hmmm....

One games not enough for me, we were scrappy but controlled Hibs, a few more games will perhaps convince me otherwise but just now i'm still saying no.

At least there was a desire to win which has been missing for months. If we had shown an ounce of desire in the last few months we would have had at least another 8 points and sitting pretty for the play offs.

Need to keep building on this, but everyone should take a massive lift from showing we can not only live with the 'better' teams in the division, but hold them completely at arm's length and get into good attacking situations, almost at will.

Hope SMcC can work on the fitness pre-playoffs.

Wallace was a lot better today, but got put through in 4 or 5 brilliant positions around their box & didn't manage to deliver - if we can just tweak his sharpness a bit, we're back to having a player on our hands.

I think we will get promoted, while we have had false dawns throughout this season the fact it was Hibs we beat today will give the squad massive confidence. That coupled with a manager who actually knows what he's doing should see us fine.

Yes.

Thought it would take time to get into SM's playing system , but hopefully it's starting to show results . By the time the play offs come , we should be running like a well oiled machine .

If we can pull this off, there'll be a lot of 'well oiled machines' knocking about!
