We think that we're a bigger club, than we actually are. In this footballing backwater we call Scotland, we are still, a massive club, however, in Europe, we're tiny.

Sad,

Was speaking to my dad about this around 3 or 4 months ago, Do "fans" watch Real Madrid or Barca more than they do the Rangers and then expect us to perform on a similar level? Do we have supporters that actually put Real, Barca, Arsenal, Man U or Chelsea before us then come here to moan due to how shit we are compared to them?

I think fans remember what we were 10 years ago - or even 4 years ago - and our budget, players and opposition are all the poorest we have seen and yet some still think we should have the same quality as those teams. This makes them angry instead of understanding and some have then turned on the players/ manager/ club!

Actually sick of most things to do with our club.

Manager - shite.

Players - average with a bad attitude.

Football - an improvement on last years, but still pretty shite.

Board - shite.

Fans - some acting like fannies.

But still you voted to say you disliked the negativity. Sounds like you revel in it. Read your post again.

I don't like the negativity but it's hard to optimistic with this shambles.

This was the year I was looking forward to the most. Blowing this league away, mix of youth and experience, playing a good style of football that we had implemented over 2 years. Loads of cash in the bank waiting to hit the SPL by storm.

So it's hard to be optimistic when we play shite and are skint.

For me it has been a culmination of anti-Rangers bitterness and bias, harmful 'voices of the fans' behaviour, boardroom turmoil, financial mismanagement, lack of structure, missed opportunity to build a good young team for the future and poor quality football.

If we were financially sound, with a board that fulfilled their promises i feel this apathy and disharmony engulfing and dividing our support would subside.

Some of the threads are ridiculous tbf.

We must never let our standards drop no matter where we are though, we should be demanding more considering the wages we're paying out and opposition we're up against. We've been fucking awful throughout this journey thanks to an overpaid, shite manager backed by an overpaid, shite board.

We will be back where we belong soon and on schedule but in financial difficulty thanks to the aforementioned.

The fans who pretend everything is rosy are no better than the fans who go OTT with criticism.

Get sick of this "with the wages we are paying out" crap. Yes they are high for Scottish football BUT they are shite compared to even lower level championship sides in England. Yet we are bombarded with games from the EPL and Europe and expect, nae demand that our team play to the same level. Where are/were these youth player that were going to provide entertaining free flowing football that were willing to come to Scotland for pennies? Scotlands national team is even worse than Rangers so a HUGE part of the issue is the lack of Scottish players able to perform at the higher levels. The playing side of Rangers would need somewhere in the region of 25-30 million quid spent on it to be even half way competitive in Europe.Yes even with 32 K fans yesterday we had one of the largest support BUT the money in the game now comes from co tharporate sponsorship and TV revenue, two things in very short supply in Scotland. Also the costs of maintaining facilities and infrastructure at Ibrox (and Torbett Towers for the matter) are huge. Have previous boards pissed away funds yes no denying that. But if we want Rangers moving forward we need to get together AS ONE behind the club yes hold the custodians accountable that is what the AGM is for. A fans board made up of real fans with realistic expectations of where we are and what we bring in can also hold the board accountable.

TV has been the ruination of football and the ONLY chance for ourselves and the tims is to join a larger league with a much higher return on revenues or the whole structure of Scottish football is going to collapse. Negative in a way yes, but also stark reality. The only way Rangers have a hope in hell of regaining strength is to come together and be as big as we can in Scottish football and that is going to require full houses at Ibrox with all behind the team whether you approve of the owners or not and there is not a single Scots business man with enough money coupled with lack of brains willing to lose money season after season propping up Rangers. The other disturbing fact is our assets of Ibrox and Auchenhowie are worth more than the club is (to a top level european side that is. Because of the lack of funds in Scottish football they are worthless to another club, only to property developers and at present even that is nowhere near the true value of the properties

In summary unless we get behind the team the club is fucked.

Utter pish

Ajax built a Europe-worthy team for 3 million.

At present the Cypriot teams have been having an amazing few years in Europe and we are falling down past even those in the rankings.

However it's all relative, we can only play to our current level, and I think our Premier clubs attempts in Europe show how far they are off the pace too.

Still a huge achievement where we are just now imo (quality of football regardless) to where we were two years ago. Better teams than ours at present have struggled at lower levels to win leagues.

What i'd like to see is a return of the spirit the fans showed in div 3. Rally the troops and get Ibrox packed to rafters, drag yer granny along if it means filling a seat. Yeah the footballs shite, but its about the club first and foremost.

Division 3, 'fans spirit' was that before the RST was reborn as the Union of Fannies and before the genesis of the 'Sons of Satan'?? Just asking like.

Anyone who thinks the blue tims have not harmed our club are living in fantasy land.
