AlBear. 8,499
Should be a definite starter then. Reckon he'll really benefit playing week in week out.

bombaybadboy08 15,660
Would be as well just selling or releasing Crawford and Gallacher, they're not going to come back and get a starting slot while Ally remains in charge. If they're not good enough to get game time in the Championship then they've no chance next year. KingInTheNorth 27
definitely has something. hoping he earns himself a shot here.
there'sonlyoneamoruso 1,724
Another positive move. He really needs game time and I hope he grabs this opportunity with both hands.
hammer time 653
hopefully gets a run of games, only to come back to sit on the bench near Ally

Albertz Laces 35
Glad hel get 1st team football its exactly what he needs to progress. Would liked to have had him play in the Championship on loan but unsure if he'd be a regular starter at this level.
onefootwillie 1,518
Exactly what he needs Hope we get more of the youngsters out on loan so they can get some experience at a level above U 21s and see how they will do
Jimfanciesthedude 24,357
So any player, under 21, not in the matchday squad each week should leave?no, just the ones that have barely had a sniff in the 3 years we'll be out of the top division, if ally doesnt rate you against the arse end of scottish football, he isnt going to play you against the top division teams
bombaybadboy08 15,660
Do any player, under 21, not in the matchday squad each week should leave? They would be as fucking well to Fucksake, you know how it works here, established players only.Gallagher and Crawford could be doing with game time every week which would tell us whether they're cut out for Rangers or not, they are just isolated then sent out on loan and we will still be paying some/all of their wages.Macleod managed to hit the ground running so he was a dream come true for Ally, any youngster who doesn't seem to be a solid 9 every week is bombed out.The guy is a fucking idiot and Wallace is just as culpable for sitting there watching him bring in older players whilst farming out youngsters. You would never know we were skint. BroxyBear17 1
Good luck Robbie. I think he's got it ... he's certainly got the right attitude about being prepared to go a nothing team to get some game time before hopefully coming back into the squad in our push for the spfl

AlBear. 8,499
Macleod managed to hit the ground running so he was a dream come true for Ally, any youngster who doesn't seem to be a solid 9 every week is bombed out.The same with 90% of fans, particularly on here. Just go back and look at reactions to Macleod, McKay, Crawford, Aird just in recent years, when they struggled in games early on. Many on here desperately preach the likes of Gasparotto, Stoney, Gallagher etc should all be featuring regularly in the first team. But, I guarentee you those same people will be impatient and insulting towards them should they have a bad game. It happens all the time. Players out the team SHOULD be playing. It's a cyclical, irrational opinion by many fans.

It's a cyclical, irrational opinion by many fans.I've not criticised any of the younger players as you need to walk before you can run, McCoist wants to wait until they can run rather than bed them in. That's why he likes his quick fix of older players just like his mentor.I'm not saying they should be starting every week but how do we know what they can do when we never see them?Bring them on as subs. maybe 45mins during a cup game etc, if they're not up to it then release them rather than this loan pish.Apart from Alan McGregor, a loan spell is the kiss of death to your Rangers career. Young Bob 1,360
Good move if he gets played in central midfield. McCoist probably sees him as more of a goalkeeper mind you.
