No chance of team GB at football imho.

The laws that govern football, known officially as the Laws of the Game, are not solely the responsibility of FIFA; they are maintained by a body called the International Football Association Board (IFAB). FIFA has members on its board (four representatives); the other four are provided by the football associations of the United Kingdom: England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland, in recognition of their unique contribution to the creation and history of the game. Changes to the Laws of the Game must be agreed by at least six of the eight delegates.

This is one of the reasons why I don't believe there will ever be a GB football team. If it ever happened Fifa would try and pull the plug on the 4 associations requiring them to merge them into one. This would result in GB losing 3 important seats at the top table of the International Football Association Board, one of the most important boards in the game.

This is also why the rest of football (and Fifa) have a chip on their shoulder about the way the game is structured here and the resulting massive over representation on this board, we get half the votes the rest of world football gets the other half.

I would not believe Blatter for one minute about his claims team GB would not affect our individual statuses.
