I'm sure they lost to a men's under 16 team or something similar, the level between the top Female teams and the top Men's team is enormous.

That said, I think it is improving all the time and probably best to judge it on its own merits rather than compare it to the Men's game.

The woman's game has improved dramatically over the years, and one thing that can't be denied is that even after a nice meaty or miss-timed tackle they do not roll about the pitch waiting for a trainer to come on..Some of the men could take a leaf out their book when it comes to that part of the game..Get up and Play the Game..

My theory is that just like in the mens game, noone really wants to be a keeper so the shitest players end up going in goals - because the player pool for womens football is so much smaller that means the chance of getting someone developing into a decent keeper is smaller.
