Mr RFC 696
Can someone explain the Cathro thing. Is it just because it was in the papers.
Jack The Flipper 5,936
We need someone who'll kick some bollocks, these under-achievers don't need a shoulder to cry on they need a kick up the arse. This will then impact who will be right for the job, I'd take McCall over the current... team, but I think he's too soft to give the players what they need to start performing. WeirFleckNRothen 1,789
People read two BBC Sport articles on the novelty that is Ian Cathro's career and suddenly, we've to take a punt.
Terry Hurlock Loyal 12,133
McInnes for me, agree with all the previous posters thoughts about him plus it would be so sweet to stick it right up the sheep again!
VladimirWeiss69 802
No if King gets in he will know he has to act fast as he needs the money the knewco spl brings in terms of advertising and ticket prices. We will be fucked staying in this division.I agree, I think one of the first thing he needs to do is bring in an experienced manager, Stuart McCall looks the most likely candidate. King Jela 20,361
Why is Cathro atop peoples list, what has he done exactly? He's done fuck all. He's working (well) his way up the ladder to become first team coach some day but we shouldn't be his first club and certainly not right now. McCall or McIness for me. Creampuff 22,628
I think Cathro is a hugely knowledgable, intelligent forward thinker of the game. He'll go on to accomplish a lot. However, he's never been a manager before, and I'm not sure that's a risk Rangers are in a position to take right now.

bluenose_72 198
Going by the betting we are looking at Magath, McCall or Davies.
Jack The Flipper 5,936
Going by the betting we are looking at Magath, McCall or Davies.I'd go for Magath, but only if Jig, Foster & Black are allergic to cheese.
B1872 20,700
Going by the betting we are looking at Magath, McCall or Davies.Rumour I heard was Magath until the end of season then he's moving into the DOF role where a new head coach will be appointed. Blue Boris 13
Im worth a gamble. Won the big cup 3 years on the bounce with Rangers on FM. Did it by giving the youth a chance and a couple of shrewd signings. Should I send in my CV?

Smile 26,600
I watched a video about Davies and he seemed quite dedicated but he does like to fall out with chairmen board members and we could do without that.
Jasper Blues 497
I would think the shorter priced gamble would be McCall or McInnes with either Magath as D of F or take up GS on his offer to work for sweet FA.Don't think the time is right to be gambling big-time.Need to do everything possible to turn this around THIS season. paisleyroad 894
I have thought for a while that McLeish would take the reigns again. Then last night at the Souness Dinner the lad that has the Louden suggested he thought McLeish would get it .And when the question was put to Richard Gough during the Q&A he said his first choice would be McLeish, he emphasised he had not spoken to King about this during any their meetings bug I'm not so sure. Ayrshire_Bear 69
McInnes would tread over broken glass to manage Rangers, the sheep would be BEELIN' Cathro seems the risky option which we cannot afford to take. He could be an option for the premiership though. Mccall to the end of the season for me.
Alwaysblue 709
I think Cathros out of our league to be honest. Heard him talking on world football. Says he wants a few more years as an assistant then will go for a managers job abroad. Hes seen as some sort of genius in europe, a visionary. Destined for bigger and better things. So was Andy Roxburgh!
