quinty 1,445
Piledrivers. For many, Albertz was the best striker of a dead ball, for me, it was Davie Cooper. The goals against Hibs and Aberdeen in this wee montage prove my point I think.
COALBURN LOYAL 17
After the cup final Davie went to a Scotland squad session . Jim Leighton said to Davie "I nearly got that ball" and Davie said "aye on the way out ".
murzo 7,446
That one against the sheep was something special, Durie in the wall for Hibs with a full head of hair. Albertz did it more often, and for sheer power would win for me.
hammer93 15,056
I adored coops, but some of Albertzs long range strikes were breathing.

Courtyard Bear 41,357
Davie was special on and off the pitch, Albertz was power personified.
bombaybadboy08 15,660
I didnt get to see Coop at his best in a Rangers jersey, he was at the tail end when I started going to games but was still class, I witnessed him tearing us a new one many times with Motherwell though.Loved Albertz, he could get the ball in his own half and cries of 'Shoot!' would ring out from around the stadium, shame wee Dick never took to him. 'Too lazy' apparently.
onefootwillie 1,518
Albertz for me he did it more regularly
110 steps 282
Davie Cooper did way back then what Ronaldo thinks he done first.
Dutchy 1,200
Davie was a curler, Albertz whacked them dead straight with hell of a power behind them. Not sure if you can compare the two styles, but I was always just as happy when either one managed to score.

Ibroxholm 2,274
Loved Albertz goal against them in the cup semi-final at snake mountain. Nearly took the roof of the net, the Bears fans celebrating in the background.
Kaiser Wull 203
As a player and an entertainer, Coop gets my vote. For sheer power, though, Albertz is unbeatable. I'd be happy to have both of them in my dream team.
