Mon the Scotland! :D

Hope we get a good crowd and a good atmosphere(apart from the anthems :craphead: )

I hope so too (tu) The NI fans should help create a good atmosphere. But I expect some Scotland fans will boo GSTQ. The welsh fans certainly did.

But I hope its a good game more than anything else. A mate of mine who's Scottish reckons if you win, Scotland will be the new british champions :harhar:

It is inevitable unfortunately, but should still be a good atmosphere.

BTW, how do Northern Irish people embrace GSTQ as their anthem? I always thought N.I had their own anthem?

Unfortunately we dont. We have used "Danny Boy" at the commonwealth games before but it isnt officially recognised as our national anthem. The problem is that we dont have a neutral anthem that both communities will sing. GSTQ is used only because it is the anthem of the UK, so we are entitled to use it. There have been efforts to try and get a new song as NI's anthem, but nothing has been agreed so far.
