It seems your not allowed to criticise a defensive frailty on here. Fantastic performance again today but I agree that we shouldn't be losing goals as easy as that.

Thick skinned mate, yes we won easy but soft goal to lose and not fir the first time this season, yes the defence are learning and ha two changes but the two CHs were in place. Im know we will score more than we will concede in this league but in a cup game v StJ if all they have to do is punt a ball over the CHs heads to cause us major problems then we will have troubles as we wont get as much of the ball as we do in the league to attack as much.

I dont see this as a negative but more a constructive thing that we need to work at and im sure we have been, it great to watch free flowing football from us and can only hope our players stay fit to keep it going.

So many fucking drama queens in here.if you play the type of football we are playing you are open to losing these goals just fuckin deal with it and for the record do not criticise sir Walter either you ungrateful cunts

Im very grateful for the football T2Ws have brought us and im loving every second of it, yes we will lose an odd goal and we have no right to expect us not too, the problem was how simple they scored the goal, yes it wont affect our league games but against a better side in the cups we cant afford to give cheap gials away. I agree with you its not a big deal until it matters.

Im more concerned we lost another goal straight through the heart of our defense, a simple ball behind and boom.

You're more concerned that we lost our concentration when 5-0 up than you are with the fact we scored 5 goals?

They have professionals you can see about this.

Hasnt just happened today mate, im not worried but its something we need sorted as is the goalies distrabution but im sure its being worked on also. Soft goals have a tendency to bite you hard so there is nothing wrong with pointing out that it needs worked on.

If it was 0-0 at the time i'd be bothered but not at 5-0 when the game is dead. You can't expect Kiernan to risk bringing the lad down when he's clean through right at the end of the game and getting sent off.

Our GD is superb as is our attacking play. The defence are still learning, relax, enjoy our attacking play and give them time.

Let me paint one wee picture for those who are worried about defensive lapses:

Our second goal against Queens at the weekend came from a penalty.

That penalty was won following our rampaging, 23 year-old right-back hitting the byline and crossing into the six yard box where our on-loan 20 year-old centre-back, in his 3rd game for the club, covering at left-back for our injured captain, was attacking the cross at high speed like he was a striker. He got flattened for his efforts by a Queens defender who couldn't keep up with his pace or movement.

It was beautiful to watch.

When Queens scored in the 81st minute, we were 5-0 up with a defense made up of a 20 year old converted winger in his first game at right-back, a 24 year-old and 23 year-old centre-back pairing in their 6th start together and our 20 year-old loanee centre-back covering at left-back in his 3rd game.

Occasional defensive lapses are inevitable. It's the price we will pay for playing sexy-as-fuck football and it's a price worth paying.

It's the sort of thing that if septic were doing it the mhedia would be creaming themselves but it's all very understated with us
