Foderingham has revealed he has been talking with Championship clubs about a move and getreading.co.uk can confirm that Royals are one of those interested parties.

Below we take a closer look at what Reading will be getting, should they win the race for his signature.

Don't want to sound negative etc but it's a bit uninspiring that we're signing all these league 1 type players. That's what Inverness, Motherwell etc do.

Fuck craig whyte.

Who the fuck are ye wanting like? Paul Pogba? Jackson Martinez? Oliver Torres?

Fuck sake; we're not exactly billionaires.

What pedigree of players are you wanting?, what top class players that you seemingly want would even be willing to come to Scotland never mind the 2nd tier?

Looks like this is the way forward for us mate. Can't knock Motherwells dealings though. Even just talking about goalkeepers they brought up Darren Randolph and John Ruddy who's now a regular in the England squads.

A top team in league 1 would finish second in the SPL easy, quite a few championship teams would be perfectly capable of winning it. That's the sad reality of Scottish football now but I have no problems if we're building a high league 1/championship level side for now.

Seems to have strong wrists, good reflexes, makes himself a big target when one on one (quite schmeichel-esque) and can get down to the bottom corners very well. If he's on a free we'd be mad not to at least speak to him.

Rangers in talks with Wes Foderingham as Mark Warburton looks to add former Swindon goalkeeper to his squad

  • Wes Foderingham is a free agent after leaving Swindon Town
  • It is thought the goalkeeper has met the Rangers management in Glasgow
  • Mark Warburton also lining up a deal for right back Reece Wabara

Rangers have opened talks with former Swindon goalkeeper Wes Foderingham as Mark Warburton continues his attempts to revamp the Ibrox squad.

It's believed Foderingham - a free agent after seeing out his contract with the English League One side - was in Glasgow yesterday to meet with the Rangers management.

The 24-year-old decided to move on from Swindon after their defeat to Preston in the League One play-off final and has also been linked with Birmingham City and Reading.

No agreement has yet been reached with any club but Foderingham is thought to be open to the possibility of switching to Scottish football as he weighs up his options.

If Rangers push through a deal for the Londoner, it would provide competition for Cammy Bell after back-up goalkeepers Steve Simonsen and Lee Robinson were among 11 players released at the end of last season.

Foderingham - a former England youth cap - said earlier this month that he had spoken to 'five or six' clubs in the English Championship after building his reputation during three seasons with Swindon.

Meanwhile, Rangers are also close to completing a deal for 18-year-old former Birmingham City centre-half Tom Lang after he had a successful trial with the club.

New boss Warburton is also lining up a move for right-back Reece Wabara, formerly of Doncaster Rovers and Manchester City, while ex-Middlesbrough man Andy Hallliday and former Hearts midfielder Jason Holt are further names being linked with the Glasgow giants.

He done the same with Brentford and it worked out well. If these players can perform in the English Championship and League 1, I have no doubts they'll do even better up here. I trust Warbs.
