The Blue Sea of Ibrox 2000 66
Did not even make the bench today and when he signed for us people were saying he gave up the hearts captaincy and was taking a backward step in his career. The talk was he is a premier quality player and going to rangers in the championship was a backward step. I for one was delighted when he signed for us but am now wondering if he has a future at Rangers. Yes Ball is a quality player but only on loan for this season. Only my opinion but unless he has an injury should at least be on the bench.
kris1984 1,205
Defence wasn't great today he'll get another chance and its up to him to take itFor what it's worth I expect him to be in our team for years to come
graeme_4 33,996
I think we was injured, but was back in training. St Mirren are a physical team, and if he's not 100% why risk it when Ball / Kiernan has been pretty good.Up to Wilson to earn his place, team should be picked on ability and form, nothing else. kaiser1041 9,088
Will have to earn his place in the team like anyone else.
bluenoz 30,287
Ball & Kiernan were not brilliant today but I still think its our best combination. Wilson will still get plenty of opportunities.

Captain Hilts 12,819
he's been injured the last 2 games so I'm guessing Warburton just didn't want to risk him. the pundits on BT today were going on about it as if he'd never play for us again
We Will Follow Rangers 12,892
Will have to earn his place in the team like anyone else.In a nutshell, the flip side is the players in possession of jerseys have to maintain their standards to keep them, competition is good for us no room for sentiment. Gartsherriederry 81
Ball is the better CB out of the three of them I think Wilson and Kiernan could be battling to partner him
Moody Blue Legend 61,037
Surprised he didn't even get on the bench. Not sure who would have covered if any of the CBs got injured.
Bigsasasfloppyhair 13,310
I've got a feeling Wilson will start next weekend and that ball will push into the holding midfield slot. This would allow for a stronger midfield at the expense of zelalem.
BridgeIsBlue 66,498
Misses a couple of games and all of a sudden he has no future at Rangers Aye no bother.
Inigo 32,524
The gaffer might keep mixing the three of them up to keep them all sharp.

The Blue Sea of Ibrox 2000 66
Just my opinion but I don't see Ball losing his place anytime soon. That being said he probably is the better central defender and can see Danny Wilson becoming a second choice pick for the back four.
Dan Deacon 54,676
Ball is by far the better option

MisterC 12,196
Wilson and Ball at CB and have Kiernan as sitting midfielder would get my vote
NeoGeo7 10,260
Wilson and Ball at CB and have Kiernan as sitting midfielder would get my voteInteresting choice as most would go for ball as sitting midfielder though I think balls pace might help being in the back line.Gut instinct is saying warburton won't change Halliday as the sitting midfielder though. dan_ger 1,454
Most of the squad are getting rotated. Imagine it'll be this way all season. If hes not fully fit he'll drop out and wait for his chance. Dont think its a big deal at all.
