Zelalem

He is 18 years old and the fans who love to slag him off need to get a grip of themselves.

Years of people banging on about wanting to see young players get a chance, the whingers are amongst the reasons why Rangers have struggled to bring through players in the past.

Give the boy a break.

Couldn't disagree more with this post. If it was one of our own I would agree with you. He isn't one of our youth players so we wont benefit (other than good relations with his parent club) from playing him just for the experience. On the ball he is very accomplished but he is lazy and offers very little off the ball. I'd love to see Jordan Thompson, Walsh and Hardie get more game time and experience in this league but they don't. Meanwhile Zelalem gets start after start even though Law and Shiels have both shown they add better balance and have a more rounded game at this level.

Zelalem will no doubt go on to higher levels than them but that counts for fuck all at this moment in time when we have a league and promotion to win. Ball has earned his place in our starting team and fully deserves to be there, Zelalem does not. You can't challenge our players publicly to be better than the loanees as Warburton has done and then not start them when they do.

He IS 18, but he's an Arsenal 18 year old, not just any old youth player.

Not unreasonable to expect a little better, imo.

He is 4 years removed from playing travel soccer at a club in Baltimore MD....he is still a work in progress and developing. He has not had the best of runs for both club and country but looked a tad bit better with the US U21s recently playing at the 10 in a 4-2-3-1.

Waghorn is a journeyman and won't score many goals up here.

Halliday won't cut it in the Premiership.

Oduwa has no end product and is a showpony.

Zelalem is utter shite.

Kiernan is too slow.

Wilson is hopeless with the ball at his feet.

Foderingham is a bombscare waiting to happen.

You'd think this team was 9 points behind Hertz or something.....

Not the biggest fan of him, imo he slows the game and tempo down, has no work rate off the ball and pretty lightweight. I totally understand he is only 18 and nowhere near the finished article but Lewis Macleod made more of an impact in games and he isn't considered anywhere near as good.

Deart me OP. You never cease to amaze me with your posts. "Zelelam is shite". Really? Already the most technically gifted player in Scotland and is just very raw and inexperienced. Its not his fault he is playing with players with less awareness for him.

Arsene Wenger hasnt a clue. Simon says.
