Just seeing the nominations for the BBC sports personality of the year award and see no mention of Davie Weir in the SPOTY shortlist and Warburton is not even down for coach of the year

As for team of the year Rangers are nowhere to be seen.

Once again the BBC just have to have their dig

Yeah, saw them on teatime news there commenting on bdo appeal. I doubt they could have found a worse view of Ibrox if they tried. It Looked as though they had found an overgrown scrubland that framed the picture, then switched to a darker eerie image. Showers of bassas.... A disgrass, I tell you!

I remember back in 1992 when Britain had the fastest man in the world (Linford Christie who had won the 100m at the olympics in Barcelona that summer) and arguably the strongest man in the world, Lennox Lewis (who had dual Canadian/British nationality) who had just become the World heavyweight champion.

What an achievement, two of the all time greatest achievements in British sporting history.

Guess who won the 1992 BBC Sportsman Of The Year Award ? Nigel Mansell, a guy famous for driving cars round in circles.

Similar story last year. Rory McIlroy won two majors, a WGC and was arguably our main man in the Ryder Cup......................and the winner was another bloke who drives a car round in circles called Lewis Hamilton!. More to do with bbc showing/promoting F1 and abandoning golf coverage.

BBC sold us out on Formula 1 coverage as well and have more recently been trying to ditch what little they have left.

I look at it more that the first British double world champion in 30odd years won it over a guy that hits a ball around a park with a stick. :tank::P

Yep - as voted by the public - or are you saying it was fixed?

Cant stand the sight of Hamilton to be honest. Brought up in the UK benefiting from our NHS and state school system to name but two only to piss off to Switzerland to avoid contributing to the very place that made him.
