There is as much chance of a snowball surviving on the beach of Surfers Paradise than there is of UEFA reverting back to a 'Champions only' format,because if they pulled that stunt they would end up with a breakaway League of all the rich teams in Europe which they would have no jurisdiction over.

I haven't watched an entire CL game in years (unless we are playing) because the format is a crock of shit and their "seeding" is a fucking joke.

Since the format was changed in 1997-98 which allowed runners-up from the strongest leagues to participate, there have been 9 occasions where the winners were not champions of their league; and the last time a team won it from outside the "Big Four Leagues" was when Porto defeated Monaco in 2003-04.
