The Best Thing About Yesterday For Me

GOAT

Yup, the most comfortable I've felt holding a 1-0 lead in years. Normally we'd be dreading a breakaway but we could've played another week and not conceded. That confidence seemed to flow thru the crowd and we all knew it was a matter of time before we'd grab a second and change up a gear. Brilliant stuff.

St. Mirren will be a test for this group and a marker to how far we've come in such a short space of time but we all know we're headin in the right direction.

I expect bumps on the way but this league is ours.

You were disappointed to hear the full time whistle, I just didn't want the game to end I was enjoying that much.

Also, not many left with 10-15 minutes to go either.

I would like to think that the Subway Loyal will be in decline this season. Imagine leaving early and missing the football equivalent to the Siege of the Alamo in that last 15 minutes. Even worse; imagine if you decided you couldn't be arsed going to watch it because it was only a League Cup 1st round game. :D

Was the same against hibs,Goat.

I didn't want the whistle to go because i felt the rest of the day would be a downward spiral after the joy of watching us play (and a stinking hangover i was enduring).

But i ventured onto the Bears Den and that kept me happy for the rest of the day, seeing all us bears happy and talking about the football again put a spring in my step and made me forget my hangover (the beer did help too).

Happy days indeed mate.

See TBH, if we play like that every week, over the coming weeks the fans will come back in their droves and Ibrox will be 45,000+ most weeks without a doubt.

It never seemed to flow through to big DJ up in the commentary gantry as every time Peterhead got in our half he was bricking it at 1-0. doh

It's an unbelievable shift from last season, you just think that we're getting a goal every time a players tee'd up within 30 yard of goal, thats how well the team are playing. I've no doubt that fter a couple of games we'll see a team get hit for ten goals, this is still like a pre-season for a lot of players and we're already giving outstanding performances, long may it continue (tu)

Who's got the sig on here from Waghorn's quote that says we'll outrun, outpass and outscore every team we come up against, because the way it's looking now it's 100% bang on the money.

We will honestly give teams a proper doing this season and it's not long before time either,I mean when was the last time we seen Rangers getting 20 odd shots in a game.....

I would like to think that will be the case. This management team and these players deserve a full house with the football that's being played. We are nowhere near the finished article and I can't remember us ever giving a team such a battering over 90 minutes. I doubt if there will be too many teams (if any) that will give Peterhead that amount of pressure in a game this season. Sure we fucked up some chances, but Graeme Smith made some outstanding saves.

I'll glady stay awake until 3-4 in the morning to watch that football played.

Old habits die hard for some, under Ally we all would have been the same.

Yes we would have been biting the fingernails and swallowing the Valium. :anguish: Warburton gives off an air of confidence to the fans and especially the players, which in turn instills belief that if we keep going we will win.

An army is only as good as the General leading it and we have a good one.

Been the same the last 2 games, more people staying to the end.

Leaving with the feeling of "I cannot wait to be back" is amazing, it's a welcome change.

Lindsay Herron said on Twitter it's good that the fans seem to be buying in to MW methods.

I said it's not too hard to buy in to good football and players that work hard.

I have seen many journalists stating Rangers fans are fickle & are hard to please, no, we're fucking not, all we ask is the above, for far too long we've had hangers on just happy to pick up a hefty wage whilst plodding along playing utter dross, seeing what we have in the last two games, is a breath of fresh air, not the smog we've been watching.

It's great,

We were winning 1-0 and the Peterhead manager decided to put on another attacking player.

Warburton responds by putting on 2 strikers!

You certainly wouldn't have seen a tactical move like that last year.

what a difference, previous seasons we would even be holding on against part-time teams, so many times I wished the ref would end the game after 60 minutes ! dire dire stuff, now we wish it never stopped ! it can only get better still, just one word of caution, the referee, as in previous seasons he was turning a blind eye and giving them licence to go in with the boot, we were lucky yesterday but maybe not always be so, the best reply would be to run up a cricket score! I can see it happening., never thought I would say this ,but maybe a blessing we did not go up, could never even dare to dream we would be seeing what we are seeing in such a short time ! maybe I am dreaming ! don't wake me up .
