Voted other because I really don't know.

I've always wanted us to think outside the box and get away from the ' same old , same old ' usual type of Scottish manager .

However , if Stuart McCall does get us promotion , i dont think I'd feel comfortable not giving him a chance full time.

Why? So we can spend our way out of trouble? Is that not what got us into this mess in the first place? Advocaats £90m spent, Walters £40m spent, Allys £6m spent and 30 odd players in just 4 years...

We need a man who can manage us whilst living within our means and right now there is not pence for new players on the horizon. We can't even afford the ones we have just now.

Maybe the question should be does he deserve more time? More time than what? Till the seasons end?

The answer would be, maybe. Today is one match, he has drawn his last 2 and had no response from the players. Today, as good as it was, and it was good, was one match. These players have let themselves, their manager and the club and fans down for the last 3 years. Anyone can have 1 good game. If however, he goes on a run and gets us promoted, i don't see why he wouldn't deserve more time and that is from someone who didn't want him appointed. If we don't go up he will have failed and he goes. If he can't take us up he will not deserve more time, not a chance.

McCalls not a big spender as his time at Motherwell showed where he done well when year by year they sold his best players.

I always say that myself the best man for the job should be selected in McCalls case i think because he served his time managing at other clubs i dont just think of him as just an old boy signing.

We cannot have a relic of a bygone era lead us into the future. We need someone younger with new ideas. Preferably a young foreign manager with experience and new ideas. Many of them out there.

We need the best man for the job no matter what his background is.

I am unsure if that is McCall quite frankly i don't give a damn who it is as long as we can move forward and do well in the future.

I wouldn't be against McCall getting the job full time and getting a couple of transfer windows but he needs to prove he is good enough and not just get the job because of who he is.

He never had anything at Motherwell though mate. It eventually took its toll and he took them into a relegation battle. He will have much more resources at Rangers, he has even right now, it will be interesting to see what he can do with the second best squad in Scotland with a little bit of time to work with them.

Voted other myself, I am more comfortable with him on the touchline than the last two incumbants but still has a long way to go with our players and their attitudes. If he can get us playing more like today and not the last two pathetic attempts at football then yes I would say he should be given another year at least to have a crack at it.

All down to him and getting those players working as a unit though, if he can do that then small miracles can happen. The transfer window is completely dependant on if their is any money available to spend or will it be freebies on high wages again?...

A true legend of our 9 in a row era that gives you everything he's got - and then some.

I worship the very ground the man walks on.

Like Ally McCoist?

Some people haven't learned anything from the disaster that was McCoist and this post proves it. This is the reason I never wanted a former player legend in charge again. I hope McCall goes and we can bring in someone from the outside who will bring this club in to the modern era. McCall isn't the person to do that.

If we get up then we can't get rid of him. Even if we show steady improvement for the remainder of the season I wouldn't let him go.

Impressed with how he's came across so far and today's huge improvement in effort shows he has ability as a coach and manager.

Decent post hes had 3 games, 2 poor, today an imorovement but think we caught hibs on a bad day

Couldn't even consider giving him the job based on what he's managed so far

There's going to be far tougher games than that ahead of us

Delighted by the result and performance today, he has until the end of the season to make his mark, if he fails to reach the play off's then he should be gone, if he gets to the play off's and fails to gain promotion then he should be gone!

If however he gets us to the play off's with this group of players and gains promotion he should not only be given a one year rolling contract, but a knighthood from HM for services beyond the call of duty!

PS just a note of caution he's had three games and only won, one, and he's still playing McCulloch!
