St Mirren, Motherwell Or Ross County

If we do make the play-off final, it'll be one of these 3 teams that we face, most likely St Mirren or Motherwell as County are on a very good run just now and are starting to edge clear.

Who would you rather we faced?

St Mirren have scored 22 league goals and conceded 49

Motherwell have scored 26 and conceded 54

Ross County have scored 33 and conceded 55

On paper we are more than capable of beating all 3 teams comfortably.

When did Motherwell last beat us? Must have been about 15 years ago surely.

I seem to remember them beating us at Fir Park when McFadden scored, a quick google says that was 2002. Can't think if they've beat us since

How does the play off work ?

Say we finish second ....

Do we play the winner of hibs v QOS/Falkirk in a 2 legged game

Then play Motherwell/Ross county ?

So we would have 4 games , 2 home & 2 Away?

So finishing 3rd or 4th we could have 6 games to play ?

The 10 clubs play 36 matches. The champions are promoted to the Premiership and clubs in 2nd, 3rd and 4th enter two-legged play-offs. The winner of 4th v 3rd plays 2nd, with the winner of that tie up against the club finishing 11th in the Premiership. The bottom club is automatically relegated and the 9th-placed club goes into a play-off with the 2nd, 3rd and 4th placed clubs from the League One.
