J_RFC87 761
Celtic have parted company with midfielder Thomas Gravesen. Gravesen, 32, failed to establish himself in the first team after signing from Real Madrid for £2m in 2006. The former Denmark international had a season-long loan spell at Everton last term, and was unable to impress manager Gordon Strachan on his return. "Celtic, Thomas Gravesen and Thomas's representatives have agreed that he will part company with the club," a statement read on Celtic's website. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/t...tic/7568187.stm Wonder how much his payoff was? Probably just gave him his 1million up front and a kid from the boys club.
papaguy51 912
It would have been at least £1m. Happy days

papaguy51 912
Would have cost over a million at the very least. The £1m payoff plus the rest of his £45k a week contract. He wouldn't have moved on for any less I don't think.
dramsay1 0
much more than 1 million. Remember he was on 45k a week and he was on a £1million loyality bonus if he stayed 3 years!!! That will have cost celtic a small fortune. Good on Balde and Gravesen, take them for every penny they have.

Blue Stars Bearette 1
they calculated he earned £264,000 per game There are rumours he is now set to quit football altogether and Lisbon Lion Tommy Gemmell believes someone should be held to account for the signing. "Somebody has to stand up and accept the responsibility for giving him such a massive deal," he said. "If the figures being bandied about are accurate, it appears he earned £41,000 a week for turning out for the reserves. Then there is the transfer fee." http://www.eveningtimes.co.uk/sport/displa...2428422.0.0.php
