If you're to believe their fans this season then Deila has them playing like Barcelona, Johansen is the best player in Britain, Van Dijk is worth £30m and so on...

Yet they believe the only reason they lost the game was due to one decision that went against them, when in reality they should have won by taking their chances, they bottled it once again, simple as that

Was thinking to myself when I saw it was 1-1 and they were down to ten, if this side goes on to win the game then maybe we have something to worry about in the future. Maybe they've got that winning mentality, similar (though not on the same scale) to us back when we beat St Mirren in the final with 9 men, but it seems that is not the case.

Bottle merchants.

aye quite enjoyed that - but the bigger picture is that scottish football is dire.

"What's needed is a total restructuring:"

agreed - but whats needed more is this: the Scottish public make up just shy of 10% of the Sky football viewing figures. Therefore Distribute 10% of the sky money to Scotland - Imagine scotland getting 10% of a £5.13 Billion contract - better players, better competition, better facilities, more investment in youth acadamies - the problem is all but solved.

Problem is our SPFL leaders haven't the bollocks to play hardball with Sky and have sold out Scottish Football for a pittance. Until this inequality is sorted Scottish football will decline.

The Scottish game isnt in any position to play hardball with any TV provider, we are paid what the product is worth

chicken and egg - how do you make the product better? investment.

Why should 10% of sky viewers be treated to a product that gets worse year on year because sky dont pony up?

Celtic striker Leigh Griffiths complained: 'We were robbed.' The whole of football is laughing in his face! Imagine how Rangers fans felt when the authorities banished their club to the brink of non-league football. Now that's being robbed.

Its a free market and its up to companies to pay what the products worth and they do, if Sky are getting it on the cheap others would move in and take over.

why should Sky Pony up? what a ridiculous thing to say

What about all the far eastern countries and others around the world that watch the EPL should their clubs also get a charitable payout from Sky?

Scottish football gets the going rate for a third rate product that is governed by individuals who out self-interest before the good of the game or fairness for supporters

He's not wrong,in fact he is spot on in that article.

The one thing that jumps out from it though is why it is taking a journalist from outwith the borders of Scotland to write about what

everyone inside the borders can see.

Sky know that even if they paid £1 per year for tv rights they would lose very few Scottish viewers. Why? Because they bet on everyone tuning in not for Scottish games but for English games. And so do BT hence the price war.

Even if every household in Scotland took a Sky sub with an exclusive Scottish football channel, it would still be worth buttons to Sky.

i am one of the 10% you are talking about and i hardly ever watch scottish football on sky except if it is a gers game i am sure the majority of scottish viewers buy sky for the english premiership or other leagues etc

the EPL is massively over valued. i think the SPL given the viewer numbers (not the product) is undervalued. Whats ridiculous about that?

We are left with the scraps from the table because we have negotiated poorly, but which is substantially not helped by no old firm games.

The EPL is watched worldwide. Even bottom of the table clashes. You try selling Ross County v St Mirren to folk in the Far East....

Well done Celtic, your extreme arrogance managed to spoil the highlight of an honest pro's career. You should be ashamed of yourselves.
But overall Scottish football is in a bad way right now. It's in need of major surgery. Celtic's pathetic letter should fire the SFA into action.
